Lost Ark’s new Assassin class, Souleater, is a great option for beginners, as it features easy-to-learn mechanics and builds.
In Lost Ark, players can explore 7 continents, hundreds of islands and all the seas between them.
You can engage with different cultures, befriend, or defeat amazing beasts and explore varied fighting styles, until you find the perfect one for you.
Souleater
In August 2023, Amazon Game Studios released a detailed roadmap for the rest of 2023, and it revealed that a new class, which is known as the Souleater, will be released in November 2023.
The Souleater is considered one of the most advanced assassin classes in Lost Ark.
As a Souleater, you can harvest the souls of your enemies with a giant scythe, which is one of the class’s main attacks.
The other attack allows the class to summon minions from the corpses of slain enemies while the other attack uses powerful Death Master skills.
Similarly to other classes in Lost Ark, the Souleater class has an array of strengths and weaknesses. This class has high nobility, damage, destruction and stagger. Souleaters are also able to perform non-directional attacks.
However, Souleaters have low defense and health point statistics and have an automatic identity, which can impact your gameplay.
Although the Souleater has some weaknesses, it is an extremely mobile class with average survivability.
It is therefore suitable for gamers who have just started playing Lost Ark and are interested in creating a damage dealer.
The first 50 levels with any class do not determine your final build for the endgame content and therefore we recommend that you experiment with the Souleater’s abilities and the various activities that the game has to offer before deciding which build you want to follow.
Souleater’s attacks
Similarly to other classes in Lost Ark, the Souleater class features several attacks which you can use to vanquish enemies. The table below lists the Souleater’s attacks and a description of each:
Attack | Description |
The End | Call upon the Deathlord in darkness and inflict damage to enemies. Your character will then gather energy from lost souls and pull enemies to deal damage. |
Thrashing | Your Souleater will throw their scythe like a boomerang to inflict damage twice. |
Guillotine Swing | The Scythe of Destruction will sweep across the field and knock back opponents to deal damage |
Deathbringer | This attack swings the scythe forward, alternating with the Deathlord, inflicting damage 4 times. After the 4th swing, it smashes forward and knocks enemies. |
Astros | Souleater will summon Astaros to charge towards enemies and inflict damage. |
Which build should you follow
Once your Souleater has reached level 50, you need to think about which build you want to follow.
The build that you choose will be determined by whether you prefer to focus on the most flexible rotation with the permanent option of Deathbringer skill (Full Moon Harvest) l, or on a specific gameplay mechanic (Night’s Edge)
The Full Moon Harvest and Night’s Edge builds are both beginner friendly and are quite easy to understand. You can therefore experiment with both builds before choosing one based on your personal preference.
