In order to get Paint in Lumber Inc, players have to complete specific orders, but only some orders will reward you with paint.
Lumber Inc is an exciting video game that enables players to control a lumber factory. As you progress in the game, you need to upgrade your factory and construct additional features to level up your profile.
However, when you upgrade your factory, you need to procure specific construction materials.
One of these materials is paint and even though it sounds very easy to acquire paint, it can be quite a tedious task.
Several players have mentioned that they have no idea how to obtain paint, and therefore, they are unable to complete their factory’s upgrade.
In order to progress in Lumber Inc, you have to complete customer orders, each of which requires a specific amount of lumber. In the early stages of the game, the customers will pay for their orders with an in-game currency.
However, as you advance in the game, the customers will pay for their orders with a number of materials, including paint.
The only way that you can get paint is by completing customer orders, but there are some tricks that you can use to acquire additional paint.
On the orders menu, you can discover how many logs the customer wants and what they will pay for their customer. We therefore recommend that you only accept orders which will reward you with paint when the order is complete.
Keep in mind that there may come a time where no orders will reward you with paint. Players are then forced to complete the other orders until an order comes in which will reward you with paint.
How much paint will you get for completing an order?
It is worth remembering that the amount of paint you will get for completing the order depends on what the customer is purchasing.
The following table lists some examples of how much paint you can earn per order:
Order | Amount of paint |
100 Rough Lumber | 7 Paint |
86 Lumbers | 5 Paint |
As seen in the table, you will not receive a lot of paint for every order that you complete. Players therefore may have to complete several orders before they can complete the construction.

Tips on how to get paint
As previously stated, there are a few tricks that you can use to stack up on paint. In addition to only accepting orders that pay with paint, we recommend that you grab the flash sale items, as you can obtain paint from them.
If you receive a 2x faster bonus, you should use it as soon as possible. This bonus will allow your workers to work 2 times faster than normal, which means that they will complete orders faster.
The chances are then higher that you will receive an order that pays with paint.
If you only complete orders that reward you with paint, you will be able to procure paint at a much faster rate than normal if you have the speed bonus.
How to only accept orders that reward you with paint
The order menu can be found by clicking on the icon of a moving truck. The icon can be found in the bottom right corner of the game, just above the shop icon. If you click on the icon, you will discover the customer’s orders.
There are 3 categories in this menu, namely Warehouse, Recurring Order and New Orders. In the New Orders section, customers have shared their orders. However, if you click on the white arrows in this section, you will find additional orders.
The first few orders will only reward you with the in-game currency, while the other orders are more likely to reward you with paint.
So it is advisable that you always click on the white arrow to see if there are additional orders for you to complete.
Can you buy paint with Diamonds?
Diamonds are the premium currency in Lumber Inc, which essentially means that they can only be purchased with real money. That being said, players will receive Diamonds for free as they progress in the game.
There are numerous items that you can purchase with Diamonds, including time travel items as well as chests.
Unfortunately, players are not able to purchase any construction or upgrade materials with their Diamonds. You therefore have to complete orders until you have collected enough paint to complete your upgrade.
