The best Counters for Dust are Sunspot, Human Torch, Shock and Apocalypse. There is a chance that you have not collected one of these characters, but luckily, you can also use Wiccan, Longshot and Guillotine 2099.

Summoners can also use Silk and Black Widow (Claire Voyant) to counter Dust. On the official MCoC Forum, a player named EdisonLaw mentioned that Absorbing Man is also considered a good counter for Dust.

If you use Absorbing Man and you stay in Black Uru form, he will have a lot of physical resistance, which minimizes Dust’s sandstorm damage. Another Summoner believes that Thing is also a good counter for Dust.

Several players mentioned on the Forum that Dust is a very powerful Champion and recommended that you make sure you understand her mechanics and abilities before starting the battle.

Dust’s Mechanics

Her kit focuses on Sand and the Sandstorm, which allows her to inflict Sand Debuffs by blocking hits. This triggers Glancing along with her Medium Attacks.

By striking the opponent with Lights Purify these turn into multiple Sand Passives. If she activates a Heavy or Special 3, it will trigger a Sandstorm and convert all Sand into Prowess passives, which allows her to shred through her enemies.

Dust’s Weaknesses

If you understand Dust’s weaknesses, you can use them to your advantage. Her defensive threat relies on her entering a Sandstorm by inflicting 4 Sand Debuffs.

If she is inflicted with Incinerate and Plasma effects, it will remove Sand Debuffs before they get out of hand.

MCoC players should note that all of the damage she deals is Physical and if she matches up against characters with a lot of Physical Resistance, she will struggle to deal damage to them.

Dust’s abilities

Dust has numerous abilities that can deal a lot of damage to your character. Her Signature Ability, Turaab, inflicts a Sand Debuff for 6 seconds when either Champion’s Combo meter reaches a multiple of 10.

Furthermore, she gains a Steadfast Passive when fighting against Skill Champions and while her Sandstorm is active .

Whenever she prevents a Bleed effect via Immunity, she will inflict a Sand Debuff on her opponent for 6 seconds. We recommend that you consider her other skills before going into the battle.
