MSF: Black Order Rework

MSF’s developer, Scopely, recently announced that the Black Order team received several updates to their skills, abilities and statistics.

Marvel Strike Force is an adventurous video game that enables players to procure a variety of Marvel characters to protect the Marvel universe from threats.

There are numerous teams that you can create to fight enemies, one of which is the Black Order, which consists of Thanos, Corvus Glaive, Cull Obsidian, Ebony Maw and Proxima Midnight.

Black Order Rework

Although the Black Order team was previously released in MSF, the game’s developer, Scopely, recently announced that the team will get a rework.

This essentially means that the entire team’s skills, abilities and statistics will be updated.

Scopely did not announce the reason for reworking the team, however, several MSF players believe that it is to prepare the team for a variety of MSF activities.

Thanos

As previously explained, Thanos is part of the Black Order team, but it seems like he got the most adjustments. Players should note that Thanos no longer needs all 6 Infinity Stones to become Empowered.

This allows you to theory craft with Thanos by being able to swap out Black Order characters with other characters.

Scopely revealed that they reviewed an aspect of Thanos’ base passive, whereby he generates ability energy for himself, or an adjacent Cosmic ally and evaluated if they wanted to bring that over to his empowered passive.

Scopely discovered that it will have detrimental effects to generate a lot of Ability Energy with Super Skrull.

Since Super Skrull is a very powerful character, Scopely did not want to introduce this mechanic with an empowered Thanos into the current Meta.

That being said, base Thanos still has that part of his Passive, but as soon as you bring in any Black Order character, he will become empowered and will lose access to that ability generation mechanic.

Do you need to procure the updated Black Order characters?

Players who already have collected the entire Black Order team do not have to procure the updated versions of the characters.

However, it is crucial that you ensure you have the latest version of MSF installed to benefit from the updated characters.

If you are yet to collect the Black Order characters, you will automatically get the updated versions of them instead of their original versions.

Black Order activity

Although you can essentially use the Black Order team for any activity in MSF, we recommend that you use them as a counter for Gamma in Alliance War.

Keep in mind that you have to upgrade the team quite a lot to have an influence in the war though.
