MSF: Hive Mind Infographic

In order to understand the recently-released MSF team, Hive Mind, better, players can make use of a valuable infographic.

Scopely regularly introduces new teams to Marvel Strike Force (MSF) to ensure that the game does not become monotonous. The developers recently added the Hive Mind team to the game, and it consists of Void Knight, Gwenom, Venom, Carnage and Red Goblin.

Since it can be quite overwhelming to understand how a new team functions in MSF, players can consider the following infographic:

Players should note that Void Knight will have the most utility on his own with the control he provides to the enemy team.

The Hive Mind team as a whole does really well in player-versus-environment modes where Carnage’s speed boost can help the team destroy the enemy.

In player-versus-player modes, however, the Hive Mind tea is very easily exploited with no taunt and no active healing. They will likely stay on offense unless they get specific boosts.

How to acquire the Hive Mind team

Venom and Carnage received major updates to prepare them for their new roles in the Hive Mind team.

Since they were previously released, most players have them, but the other Hive Mind team members are all new characters, which means that you must complete objectives to procure them:

Character How to acquire
Venom
  • Premium Orbs
  • Legacy II Orbs
  • Milestone III Orbs
  • Alpha Raid Orb
Carnage
  • Premium Orbs
  • Legacy II Orbs
  • Milestone III Orbs
  • Gamma Raid Orb
Gwendom
  • You had to complete Into the Gwenomverse’s objectives to earn her character shards
Red Goblin
  • Players must participate in the Seeing Red monthly event to obtain his character shards
Void Knight
  • You had to participate in a series of events to earn enough shards to add Void Knight to your arsenal

What if you missed the release events

To celebrate the arrival of a new character, MSF generally hosts an in-game event, during which you have to complete objectives to earn character shards. As seen in the table, Gwenom, Carnage, Void Knight and Venom have already been released.

If you missed their release events, you most likely have not added them to your character roster. This means that you have to farm the orbs mentioned in the table and open the orbs to earn them.

Keep in mind, however, that there is no guarantee that you will receive the character that you are looking for by opening an orb.

Seeing Red

Seeing Red is the February 2024 Monthly Event, however, it is shorter than the previous release events as it is only active for 21 days.

There are 8 events that you can enjoy, including 3 Main events, 3 Quick Rumbles and 2 Alliance Milestones.

As usual, the Main events also have accompanying Web Milestones. The monthly event contains  40 Milestones that require approximately 600 000 Points.

If you complete the Milestones, you will receive the following rewards:

  • 125 Red Goblin Character Shards
  • 25 million Gold
  • 350 L4 Training Materials
  • 31 Armory 18 Orbs
  • 45 Augmented H.A.M.M.E.R Tech Unique Gear Pieces
  • 10 000 Elite 5 Credits
  • 10 000 Elite 6 Credits
  • T2 and T3 Ability Orbs
  • Armory 14, 15, 16 and 17 Orbs
  • Bio and Catalyst Gear
  • Crimson Glider Profile Frame

What should you use the Hive Mind team for?

Although you can use the Hive Mind team for any activity in MSF, they specialize in Raids, specifically in the Bio Lane. They can complete the Bio nodes without issues and will therefore be invaluable once new Incursion II difficulties are added.

The Hive-Mind characters are amongst the most important characters for everyone’s roster as Rads are one of the most vital game modes in MSF.

That being said, you can also use the Hive Mind team for Alliance War and Cosmic Crucible.
