Sega recently released the patch notes for the August 2023 update and it not only made some in-game improvements, but it also added a range of new activities to enjoy.

Players can now test their characters’ strength in the new Standing Quest, Leciel Exploration.

To begin the quest,  go to your nearest Quest Counter and select the “Leciel Exploration” tab. You will notice that you only have 6 minutes to complete every section of the dungeon-like activity.

Moreover, you also have a limited life count, which is determined by the number of players in your party.

Leciel Exploration contains a map with different sectors, however, some sectors are combat-based, while others require that you solve a puzzle.

As you complete a sector, you will receive a variety of boosts, but keep in mind that the boost locations are randomized every run.

Puzzle Rooms

There are various puzzles that you may have to solve during Leciel Exploration. One puzzle room that you may encounter is referred to as the  “Press 3 Pole Switches” room.

You have to use your mag sonar, look around the room and activate all 3 switches to solve it.

Players can also encounter the “map” puzzle room and to solve it, you have to step on the switches that match the blue symbol on the map.

If you activate the correct symbols, the barrier will open. Another type of puzzle that you can find is the Tames/Dice rooms.

In the big, cage-like feature, you will find several tames. You then have to count the tames and mark which ones reflect the dice roll.

Half-way mark

When you have reached the half-way mark, which takes place at 3 minutes, a gigantix trial will appear.

When this trial is active, you will be attacked by electrical spheres constantly. Players should note that completing this trial will level up the star player ability.

However, this does not add any giga strugment to the loot pool. Players must progress through the sectors while the electrical spheres are active.

Final Boss

Once the 6-minute timer runs out, you will be teleported to the final boss. Although this fight is extremely difficult, you allegedly do not have to defeat the boss entirely to earn loot.

For every 25 percent of health the boss loses, your final rewards are upgraded.

This essentially means that PSO2: NGS players can decide when they want to stop fighting the boss, but you will only receive the maximum loot when you vanquish the boss completely.
