Players can defeat Skavag in Raid: Shadow Legends, however, it is challenging as she has the ability to heal herself and defeat the entire team in one hit.
Overview
Raid: Shadow Legends is a popular turn-based, fantasy-themed mobile game. It is set in the fictional world of Teleria. However, the world has recently been colonized by the Dark Lord, Siroth. It is thus up to the players to retake the world.
The game features multiple adventures for players to take part in. However, it is recommended that they familiarise themselves with the Affinity system before they participate in one of the in-game activities.
There are four types of distinct Affinities in the game, and players will need to have knowledge of them to be successful. Three of them exist in balance with one another, while the other offers no particular disadvantages or advantages over the others.
The following table indicates the name of the Affinity and its properties:
Name of Affinity | Properties |
Magic (Blue) | Magic is weak against Force Affinities, however, it has an advantage against Spirit. |
Spirit (Green) | Even though Spirit has an advantage against Force, it is weak against Magic. |
Force (Red) | This Affinity is strong against Magic, but has a disadvantage against Spirit. |
Void (Purple) | The Void Affinity features no counter, or weaknesses, against other Affinities. |
When players understand all the Affinities, they are able to assemble an army of Champions. The players will use their Champions for battles in temples, castles, dungeons and deserts which are defended by enemies.
When players first start playing Raid, they will have to play a tutorial mission to learn the mechanics and gameplay. After the tutorial, they will be able to choose their first Champion.
It is important to note that there are four types of Champions: Attack, Support, Defence and Health Point (HP). Players should thus choose the Champion wisely.
Players are able to collect more Champions by using Shards, which contain the souls of ancient warriors. Once the players have collected the required Shards, they can summon a warrior at the in-game Summoning Portal.
It is important to note that there are four different Shards, and each summons a different type of Champion. The following table indicates the different Shards and the rarity of warriors each Shard can summon:
Shard name | Rarity of warriors |
Mystery Shard | Mystery Shards have a 74.2 percent chance of summoning a common Champion. Additionally, it has a 24.4 percent chance to summon an uncommon Champion, and a 1.4 percent chance to summon a rare Champion. |
Ancient Shard | Players have a 91.5 percent to obtain a rare champion with this Shard, but there is an eight percent chance that it will summon an epic Champion, and a 0.5 percent chance for it to summon a legendary Champion. |
Void Shard | A Void Shard has a 91 percent chance of summoning a rare Champion. Additionally, it has an eight percent chance of summoning an epic Champion, and a 0.5 percent chance for a legendary Champion. |
Sacred Shard | With this Shard, players stand a 94 percent chance at obtaining an epic Champion. However, it has a six percent chance to summon a legendary Champion. |
Raid: Shadow Legends: Spider’s Den
As mentioned above, players can participate in various in-game activities in Raid: Shadow Legends, one of which is the Spider’s Den. During the Spider’s Den, players will have to defeat a world boss known as Skavag, also known as the Spider Queen.
The Spider Queen
It is important to note that Skavag is able to heal herself to full health and increase her damage. The longer the battle is dragged on, the stronger she grows and can eventually wipe out the entire team. The following table indicates the Spider Queen’s skills and a description of each:
Skill name | Skill description |
Venom Spray |
The boss will attack all enemies with this skill. However, the damage increases by 15 percent if the target has a poison debuff. |
Enfeeble |
The skill attacks all enemies. Additionally, it has a 70 percent chance to decrease the turn meter. |
Spiderling Horde |
Skavag will summon six spiderlings at the start of the round. She can summon a maximum of 10 spiderlings in a battle. |
Healing Assured |
The boss is immune to heal reduction debuffs. |
Almighty Immunity |
Skavag is immune to stun, freeze, sleep, provoke, fear and block active debuffs. |
Spider’s Den guide
During stages one to 14, players can easily counter the spiderlings by killing them with area-of-effect (AoE) damage. However, during stage 15 to 20, the AoE damage skills will not defeat them, as they have significantly more Defence and Health Points.
The best plan of action to complete this dungeon is to use skills that deals damage based on the enemies’ max health. Additionally, players can use a AoE health burn debuff to defeat Skavag. It is advised that players use a stun or freeze buff to prevent the spiderlings from attacking.
Raid: Shadow Legends players can also apply a decrease speed debuff and a decrease turn meter on the boss, to prevent her from taking her turn. In case the spiderlings manage to get through the crowd control, players should have at least one tanker, who can apply a massive AoE shield.
Additionally, the team can have a counter-attack high resist AoE attacker with lifesteal in order to recover from the spiderling’s damage. Players can further increase theirCchampion’s damage against the spiders by applying a weaker debuff and a decrease Defence debuff.
Team composition
It is important to note that there are various Champions that players can use in a team to defeat Skavag. The following table indicates some of the recommended units:
