STFC: Anonymous Alliance Gift

Scopely recently introduced the Anonymous Gifting setting, which allows you to offer gifts to your Alliance anonymously.

Star Trek Fleet Command players can join an Alliance to gain access to Alliance-exclusive activities.

When you join an Alliance, you can collaborate with other players to defeat stronger enemies, participate in group activities and contribute to your Alliance to help it grow.

Over the last few days, several Commanders have noticed that Scopely introduced a new setting to the game.

In the General Settings menu, you can now enable the “Anonymous Gifting” setting. Since this new setting has been introduced, several players have questioned what its purpose is.

STFC allows players to purchase items, packages and valuable items with real money. That being said, it is not mandatory to purchase a pack with real money as you can progress in the game without ever spending a dollar.

However, if you are willing to spend real money in STFC, your Alliance members will receive a gift.

Previously, when your Alliance members got a gift, they would receive a notification that notified them of which player purchased a package.

Allegedly, players who are willing to spend real money in STFC do not like the idea that their Alliance members know that they purchase a pack.

Scopely therefore introduced the Anonymous Gifting setting. When this setting is enabled, your Alliance members will not know that you purchased a pack, but they will still receive their git.

Enabling the setting is entirely your choice. If you do not mind your Alliance members knowing that you have purchased a pack, you do not have to enable the new setting.

Is it necessary to purchase packs?

As previously mentioned, it is not mandatory to purchase packs in STFC to progress in the game. But if you are willing to spend real money in the game, you can purchase the following packs:

How to purchase a pack

If you are interested in purchasing a package, you have to click on the in-game store icon, which is in the upper right corner of the main menu. In the “Offers” menu, you can discover the various packs available for purchase.

We recommend that you view what every pack contains before deciding which pack to purchase . Once you have decided on the pack that you want to purchase, click on the tab that displays the package’s price.

Commanders have to follow the given instructions to complete the payment, for which you will have to provide your financial details. Once your payment has been made, you will receive your items instantly.

How to enable Anonymous Gifting

If you regularly purchase packs to get valuable items in STFC, you may want to consider activating the Anonymous Gifting setting.

To do this, you have to open your Commander profile by clicking on the icon in the upper left corner of the main menu.

In the new menu, you will find your Commander details, and at the bottom of the screen, you will be able to click on the blue “Settings” icon.

After clicking on the icon, select the “General” category and scroll down until you find the Anonymous Gifting setting.

Players simply have to click on the setting to enable it. Now when you purchase a pack, your Alliance members will not know who they received a gift from.

Exclusive items

It is worth noting that some items, such as the Prime Nodes, can only be unlocked if you are willing to spend real money in the game.

To unlock a Prime Node, you have to purchase a pack which contains the item necessary to unlock the research node.

Unfortunately, free-to-play players will not be able to unlock the Prime Nodes. This  means that players who are willing to spend money in STFC may get an advantage over those who do not spend money in the game.

However, you can still progress in the game as normal if you are not willing to spend real money.
