STFC: Officer Tool

STFC’s Officer Tool can help players work out the best loadouts to get the most of their ships, however it is complicated to understand.

There are a variety of tools that you can use to make your Star Trek Fleet Command journey easier. One of these tools is the Officer Tool, which helps you to work out the best loadouts to get the most of your vessels.

To obtain this tool, players have to open the STFC Tools Download website and download the Officer Tool spreadsheet on their personal computers (PC).

When you open the tool for the first time, it can be quite overwhelming since there are various components and aspects that you have to understand.

You will also discover various pages in the tool to work out the best loadouts for your vessels.

The “Roster” tab is used to maintain a record of your officers’ rank and their levels. You will also be able to view officer abilities, notes and upgrade scores.

The “Bonuses” tab, on the other hand, is used to maintain your Operations Level, Buildings, Territory, Research, Orion Syndicate and Fleet Commander Bonuses.

The “All Docks” category allows you to plan multiple ship loadouts for all your docks, while the pre-set crews use the filters to identify crew suggestions for varying scenarios.

The final category is the “Ship” tab, which maintains a record of your ship levels, though you can also use it to view ship statistics and firing patterns.

#Ref Errors

Several players mentioned that when importing their details in the Officer Tools, they receive #Ref errors. When you get this error, you need to remember that you have to paste values.

If you use the Google Sheets version of the tool, you will see a small dropdown in which you can select it.

Players who use the Excel version of the Officer Tool have to right click to paste and then select the option to Paste Values. This icon looks like a clipboard with “123” on it.

Which numbers should you input for research and building levels?

In order to get an accurate loadout for your fleet, you have to input the correct numbers for research and building levels to add bonuses to the sheet.

When you open a building’s menu in STFC, you will notice that there are different color numbers.

Players always have to input the white numbers into the Officer Tool as these indicate the current bonuses. The green numbers indicate what an upgrade of the node/building will be.

Why do the officer stats differ in the Officer Tool?

Players who have been using the Officer Tool have found that their officers’ statistics are not the same in the tool as in the game.

This may be because you did not input your bonuses and researches into the tool. However, it can also be because the stats shown on the tool refer to when the officers are assigned to a ship.

STFC players can check stats on the ship management screen to get the real values.
