STFC recently announced that server 93 players have to invade and defeat server 89’s players to win various rewards during the Infinite Incursion event.
Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC) recently announced which servers have been paired up for this round of incursions. Infinite Incursions is essentially a limited-time activity which pairs 2 servers against each other to battle for dominance.
According to the announcement, server 93 is pitted against server 89, which means that if you are playing on server 93, you need to battle the players on server 89.
On the official STFC Discord channel, a player named Tutorpmr stated, “XSLB was 89 vs. 91. List says 89 vs 93. What gives?”
It can therefore be assumed that some players are unhappy about the fact that Scopely paired server 93 with server 89. Even though players are unhappy about this pairing, the developers will not alter the pairing.
This is because servers are matched 1-versus-1 and are based on the server’s age and population. Scopely therefore attempted to match servers that have the same population of players and age.
It would be very unfair to pair a server with 15 000 players with a server with 5 000 players as the server with more players will win the Incursion event.
We recommend that you participate in the event even if you are unhappy about the pairing. This is because the event scores off the entire server’s efforts.
The more players from server 93 participates in the event, the more scores you will receive, which essentially means that that you will get more rewards.
Event schedule
Since server 93 has been paired with server 89, you will have to follow a specific schedule which outlines when you can invade the opposing server and when you have to defend your own server.
The table below lists the schedule:
Hour 1-6 | Hour 7-12 | Hour 13-18 | Hour 19-24 | |
Server A | Invading | Defending | Invading | Defending |
Server B | Defending | Invading | Defending | Invading |
It is worth noting that even though the schedule has specific windows for invading and defending, you are still able to invade server 89 during a defending window.
Requirements
As previously mentioned, we recommend that all players on server 93 to participate in the Incursions event to earn the most rewards.
However, you cannot enjoy the event if you do not meet the requirements. Only Commanders level 25 and above are able to participate in the Infinite Incursions event.
However, the special events that lead up to the Incursions can be enjoyed by players level 10 and above. If you are yet to reach level 25, you can still enjoy a few events, even if you will not be able to participate in Infinite Incursions.
Players level 25 and higher will have to invade server 89 in order to enjoy the event.
Invading server 89
Invading server 89 requires Incursion Conduits, which can be acquired by participating in events, but you can also purchase the Conduits through the “Offers” tab.
When players on servers 93 invade the opposing server, you will be placed in the exact same station slot that they occupied on server 93.
However, if your slot is already filled, you will be placed in the next available slot in server 89. You can move between systems using relocation systems after you have invaded server 89.
It is noteworthy that if your server is level 20, all peace shields are suppressed, and no new shields can be activated.
That being said, systems level 19 and lower will still feature shields and players can move between level 20 and level 19 systems while they are in server 89. If you travel through the systems, you will have to use your Relocation Tokens.
Winning Infinite Incursions
The objective of Infinite Incursions is to defeat as many STFC players in server 89 as possible. If server 93 wins the event, everyone that participated in the event can get a new officer and a new avatar.
However, the entire server will also receive a powerful buff which will remain active for an entire week.
You will either receive a build speed or a research speed buff, but keep in mind that the buff strength is based on your current OPS level.
As shown in the above-mentioned table, the Incursions event is only active for 24 hours, which means that if you win the battle, you will only receive the rewards and the buff when the event concludes.
