STFC players should level up once they have upgraded their fleet to the maximum and have mined enough resources for future use.
In Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC) you can encounter legendary characters, ships and locations from the classic Star Trek Series.
In addition to the main arc, you can enjoy several game modes and participate in in-game events. It is imperative that you increase your level regularly, however, some players are unsure of when to level up.
STFC: When to level up
As you play STFC, you will naturally gain higher levels, which means that you will get access to new content and unlock powerful ships. However, players can decide when they want to increase their level and when they want to camp at a level.
Camping refers to staying at a specific level in order to mine as many resources as possible, upgrade your buildings to the highest available level and enhancing your officers to the maximum.
Although you do not have to camp at a level, this can yield great benefits.
If you are a low-level player, you do not have to camp at specific levels and increase your level at a steady pace. However once you reach level 10 and level 15, you will unlock the player-versus-player mode.
Players should therefore ensure that their base and fleet are upgraded to the maximum before reaching these levels.
Furthermore, players need to make sure that their ships are strong enough to vanquish the following level’s enemies before leveling up. If your ships are not strong enough, it will be difficult to complete daily targets.
At which levels should you camp
It is recommended that you camp at specific levels to ensure that your fleet is upgraded to the maximum and that you can stockpile your resources. You can camp at the following levels:
Level | Description |
14 | Players can start focusing on maximizing their ships, especially the Talla. It is crucial that you start increasing your reputation with factions and mine resources. |
19 | At level 19, you have to try to maximize all the research options available. Furthermore, you should attempt to harvest grade 3 resources until you have 1 million raw materials. |
25 | Gamers can purchase tier-3 and tier-4 officers from their factions and they should upgrade their Vi’dar to level 25. |
Can you level up naturally?
If you are not interested in becoming a hard-core STFC player and you would rather enjoy the game casually, we recommend that you level up as soon as you can.
Several players camp at specific levels to prepare their fleet for higher levels, but this is not necessary.
If you advance in STFC, you will gain experience points, which are required to level up. Once you have enough experience points, you can progress to the following level.
Bear in mind that you may struggle to destroy the enemies if your ships are not strong enough.
Daily objectives
If you decide not to camp at certain levels the daily goals will increase in difficulty. You can complete daily objectives to earn points and once you have obtained enough points, you will earn milestone rewards.
Allegedly, the only downside to leveling up when you can is that the daily objectives become more difficult to complete. This means that you will not earn milestone rewards regularly.
