Scopely recently introduced a new currency in STFC, Xindi Chaser Coins, which can be exchanged for Medals and rewards.
Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC) regularly hosts limited-time activities and events that invite players to complete unique objectives to earn rewards.
Some of these events and activities introduce unique currencies which can be used to purchase valuable items.
On the official STFC Discord server, several Commanders have questioned what the new Xindi Chaser Coin is for. According to Commander [FOLD] ArsenicTouch, you can purchase the coins from the in-game store.
This essentially means that only gamers who are willing to spend real money in the game will be able to acquire Xindi Chaser Coins. Once you have obtained a few Coins, you can trade the coins for medals in the Recruit menu.
The medals can then be used to purchase items in the event store, which features an abundance of items. Keep in mind though that the more valuable an item is, the more medals are required to purchase it.
Several players have shared their opinions about the new Xindi Chaser Coins on the official Discord channel.
[FOLD] ArsenicTouch, for example, mentioned that the coins are a waste of time, while another player known as Dyrvale expressed that he is unsure why Scopely has introduced the Xindi Chaser Coins to the game.
He believes that the packs serve as free advertisement for the other packages in the store.
Unfortunately, the Xindi Chaser Coins cannot be procured by completing objectives for an in-game event. Players who are interested in obtaining the coins have to purchase them in the in-game store.
What you can unlock with your Medals
When you have exchanged your Xindi Chaser Coins for Medals, you can open the Recruit menu to obtain various items. On the official Discord server, some players received the following rewards:

| NX-01 | On the official Discord server, one player mentioned that he was able to unlock his Enterprise NX-01 with the item that he got from his Xindi Chaser Coins. |
It is worth noting that there is no guarantee that you will get a specific item when using your Xindi Chaser Coins. However, most players received Syndicate Experience Points when they used their Medals.
How to purchase Xindi Chaser Coins
Players who are interested in purchasing the Xindi Chaser Coin should open the in-game store and search the available packages for the Xindi’s Chase packages.
There are currently 2 packages available, namely, the Xindi’s Chase Elite Pack and the Xindi’s Chase Pack.
The Elite Pack costs approximately $49.99 while the other costs approximately $19.99. When you have selected the pack that you want, you can follow the given instructions to complete the purchase.
After completing the payment, players will instantly receive their Xindi Chaser Coins, which can then be exchanged for medals.
Do you have to purchase Xindi Chaser Coins?
As previously stated, several Commanders think that the Xindi Chaser Coins are a waste of time and therefore, numerous players will not purchase the packs.
Allegedly, Scopely gave players 2000 Xindi Chaser Coins for free, and players believe that Scopely gave away the free coins to motivate them to purchase additional coins.
Commanders therefore do not have to purchase the Xindi Chaser Coins to obtain medals. However, even if Scopely gave players the coins for free, the rewards are reportedly not worth it.
One player commented that he got a T1 Token, which has an 83% drop chance, but the player stated, “That’s absolute garbage in terms of rewards.”
According to players, the rewards you can earn with your medals are not worth purchasing the Xindi Chaser’s packages.
Will the Xindi Chaser Coins be removed from STFC?
Since the Xindi Chaser Coins are only a limited-time currency, it will be removed from the game when the time concludes.
That being said, the packages will be removed from STFC in 2 days, which means that you have until Thursday, 29 February 2024 to purchase the Xindi Chaser’s packages and exchange the coins for medals.
