In PSO2: NGS , you can party up with friends once you have completed the prologue and tutorial.

As part of the Artificial Relict to Keep Species (ARKS) organisation, it is your responsibility to team up with a mysterious ally to defeat a powerful threat called the DOLLS.
In addition to the main story arc, you can enjoy a range of activities either as a solo player or with friends. Many players wonder when they can party up with their friends and enjoy content together.
Why should you team up with friends?
Although PSO2: NGS can be enjoyed by a single player, some content is too difficult to complete alone. It is therefore required that you team up with friends and other players to complete this content.
Players may not require help from others in the early-game phase, but as you progress in the game, the content will become more difficult to complete. By teaming up with friends and other players, you will be able to clear the content and defeat the enemies more easily.
After teaming up with friends, you will be able to grind content, complete urgent quests, try to defeat veteran enemies, enjoy a purple Battledia, and speedrun a Cocoon or Tower activity.
When can you party up in PSO2: NGS?
Some PSO2: NGS have revealed that partying up with a friend is more complicated than they thought. In order to play with a friend, you first have to complete the entire prologue and tutorial of the game. Players cannot team up with their friends if they are yet to complete these chapters.
Once you have completed the prologue and tutorial, you can pick up a quest from Liu Lin, who can be found in the Command Center of Central City. This quest requires that you unlock 2 Ryuker Devices, the first of which can be found in the front of the city.
The second Ryuker Device is just outside Central City. By completing this quest, you unlock the feature that allows you to create parties with your friends and other players.
Once you have completed the quest, you will be able to add friends to your in-game friend list. To do this, you have to open the communications menu and search for your friend in PSO2: NGS. When you have found your friend, you can send them a friend invitation.
If they accept your friend invitation and they have completed the required quests, you can ask them to be part of your party. It is crucial to note that you have to be on the same ship as your friend to create a party.
Moreover, you have to transfer your friend’s block in PSO2: NGS before you can team up with them. You or your friend can use Ryuker devices to perform a Block Transfer. Once you are in the same block, you can add your friends to the party.
How to add a friend to your party
In order to add your friend to your party, you have to open your communications tab and select your friend list. Here, you can view all your in-game friends, and by clicking on one of them, you can invite them to join your party.
Keep in mind that you can only create a party with other players if they completed the prologue and tutorial in PSO2: NGS. If they are yet to complete the tutorial and prologue, they cannot join your party.
Party settings
Before you can create your party, you have to adjust your party settings. In this menu, you can create a name for your party and add comments. Moreover, you can select your play style and conditions to join the party.
If you wish, you can also create a password to join the party. Adjusting your party settings can limit the number of people that join the party.
For instance, you can choose that only people on your friend list can join the party, or you can open the party to anyone in your Alliance.
Can you only add friends to a party?
In the communications menu, you will be able to add friends or nearby players to a party. If you select the nearby players option, a list of all players in the range of your current position will appear.
This is a great way to make friends, as you can invite other players to play with you and clear content.
