To celebrate Bungie Day, players can participate in Destiny 2’s Fishing Day to earn the Bungie Foundation Digital Prize Pack.
Destiny 2 is an explorative video game that invites players to assume the role of a Guardian. It is now up to you to protect the planet’s last safe city from an intergalactic threat.
Season of the Deep introduced a fishing activity to the game, but a recent announcement revealed that players can enjoy a Fishing Derby.
Destiny 2: Fishing Derby
On Thursday, 6 July 2023, Bungie announced that players can celebrate Bungie Day by participating in a variety of in-game events.
As part of the Bungie Celebration, players can enjoy a series of community fishing derbies. To complete these events, you have to catch as many fish as possible within a given time frame.
There are 5 fishing derbies, which are one hour each, occurring throughout the day to help you find a good time to participate:

Charlie Derby | 10 am Pacific time (PST) |

Players should note that the top 3 scorers from each of the 5 derbies will receive a special Bungie Foundation Digital Prize Pack which contains various items.
If one person wins multiple derbies, Bungie will award the next highest scorer.

Bungie Foundation Digital Prize Pack
If you are 1 of the 3 highest scorers during a Fishing Derby, you will receive the Bungie Foundation Digital Prize Pack, which contains the following items:
- Bungie Day emblem bundle: Every Bungie Day emblem released over the past 5 years
- Helium Hearts: You can give them to another player to lift their spirits
- Blue Blood Cells: Players will receive the 2023 Bungie Day Giving Festival emblem
- Heartful Shell Exotic Ghost: It is fully equipped with heart bubbles galore.
Scoring
If you catch a specific rarity fish at one of the fishing locations in Bungie, you will receive a certain quantity of points. Players should attempt to collect as many points as possible:

With the new Lucky perk, you will get the chance to catch double the number of Exotic fish while scoping out your favorite hot spots for some chill time.

As you can see, Exotic Fish will award you with the most points when you are participating in a Fishing Derby. We therefore recommend that you try to catch as many Exotic Fish as possible.
Destiny 2 players should note that the fishing spot for Exotic fish rotates on a weekly basis. Thus, you should look for the fishing spot with the Exotic label on the map.
