One of the weekly missions you can complete in Destiny 2 is Mayday Mayday Midnight, which rewards you with a Taken weapon.
Destiny 2 is an exhilarating video game that invites players to explore a mythic, science fiction world. As a Guardian, you must protect the Earth’s last safe city from an intergalactic threat.
Season 21 introduced various new quests, enemies and activities for players to complete. One of the new quests you can complete is Mayday Mayday Midnight.
Destiny 2: Mayday Mayday Midnight Mission
Players can start the Mayday Mayday mission by opening their H.E.L.M director. The quest begins where the previous mission concluded. Use the lever on the left side of the airlock to open the door before defeating enemies.
You then have to proceed to the airlock behind the area and choose which of Ahsa’s gift you want. After going through the airlock, you have to follow the underwater hallway until you reach a spinning fan at the bottom of a shaft.
Players should ensure that they land on the platform outside the fan blades as landing on them will kill your character.
You can interact with another level beneath a ladder to switch off the fan. Following the underwater caverns will lead you to the first arena.
After defeating the masses of Hive Chitin, you will discover 3 Fuel Cells, which you have to take to a command console.
Keep in mind that enemies will appear every time you deposit a cell. When you have deposited the last cell, you have to defeat three boss-level Taken Centurions.
You also have to pick up the wrenches they drop and place them in the machinery that appeared where you deposited the fuel cells.
Once you have completed 3 repairs, you must vanquish 3 waves of enemies. If you survive the encounter, you will be pulled down to the boss room, where you have to defeat a Hive Wizard named Kudazad, Bound to Xivu Arath.
Kudazad, Bound to Xivu Arath
To destroy Kudazad, Bound to Xivu Arath, you should use a Linear Fusion Rifle, such as the Arbalest, Cataclysmic, Fire and Forget. However, you can also use the Gjallarhorn Rocket Launcher to defeat the boss.
Players should note that ads will be spawning during the boss fight. Although you can shift your focus to them entirely, it will be better if you keep on hitting the boss while defeating the enemies. The ads will no longer spawn if you vanquish the boss.
Extract the Egregore Coral
After defeating the wizard, you can approach the center platform to obtain your coral. Destiny 2 players then have to go to the H.E.L.M and go down the stairs toward the aquarium where you will find Zavala.
After the conversation, you can go through the blue portal to interact with Sloane. You then have to travel through another portal to interact with the Sonar Station.
Rewards
Hereafter, Sloane will reveal what she experienced. She will reward you with a new Taken weapon for your efforts.
Once you have your reward, the mission will conclude. Since it is a weekly mission, it is unknown whether the quest will be available the following week or not.
