Evony players were able to purchase a Debuff Skill Book Package to procure Debuff Skill Books, which can be assigned to Generals to debuff foes.
As the lord or lady of an empire in Evony: The King’s Return, you have to train troops, vanquish monsters, procure resources, recruit Generals and construct buildings.
As you progress in the game, you can enhance your Generals by equipping Skill Books. However, some players on certain servers have revealed that they are able to purchase Debuff Skill Books.
Skill Books
Skill Books are special items which can add additional buffs to your Generals. Players should remember that every General can have 4 Skill Books added, and you can procure different levels of Skill Books.
The higher the level of a Skill Book, the more buffs they will provide to your General.
There are many Skill Books that you can add to your Generals, however, the books are divided into 3 unique categories. You can therefore find Military, Development and Subordinate City Skill Books as you advance in the game.
Keep in mind that you have to assign specific Skill Books to every General in order to enhance their capabilities.
Evony: Debuff Skill Books
Skill Books have been available on all servers for the past few years, but only some servers were able to purchase Debuff Skill Books. Fortunately, Evony recently updated the game to make Debuff Skill Books available across all servers.
This means that if you did not have access to Debuff Skill Books before, you can now purchase the Debuff Skill Books and assign them to your Generals.
Evony announced on Friday, 25 August 2023 that the Debuff Skill Book Package is added to the game.
Players can purchase this package to receive Debuff Skill Book Chests, an Epic Historic General (Premium), Refining Stones, Runestone Chests along with a large quantity of resources and speedups.
After completing the purchase, you can open the Debuff Skill Book Chest to get a random Debuff Skill Book which can be used to reduce enemy buffs.
The Debuff Skill Book Package was only available for a limited-time. Unfortunately, it appears as if the package was already removed from the game, therefore, you cannot purchase the package.
If you missed the chance to purchase the Debuff Skill Book Package, do not fret – there is a chance that Evony will release another Debuff Skill Book in the near future.
Thus, we recommend that you check the packages available for purchase regularly to see when the Debuff Skill Book Package is available for purchase.
How to purchase a Debuff Skill Book Package
Although the Debuff Skill Book Package has been removed from the game, we believe that Evony will release another Debuff Skill Book Package in the near future.
When it becomes available, you can find the package in the “Valuable Event” section of the game.
Players can find this menu in the bottom left corner of the main screen. There are several packages available for purchase, so you have the search for the Debuff Skill Book Package.
To purchase this package, select the “Buy” option on the menu and follow the given instructions to complete the transaction.
The first Debuff Skill Book Package cost approximately $139.99, which means that you have to spend real money to obtain the Debuff Skill Books. Currently, it is unknown how much the next Debuff Skill Book Package will be.
Does Debuff Skill Books work on Sub-City Generals?
Players who purchased the Debuff Skill Book Package have several questions regarding the new Skill Books. One of the general questions that Evony players have is whether the Debuff Skill Books can be applied to Sub-City Generals.
Allegedly, Evony players can assign the Debuff Skill Books to their Sub-City Generals to enhance their debuffs.
Though there is some confusion about this topic, as some Debuff Skill Books indicate that it will only activate when the General is leading the army to an attack.
It is believed that it does not work on defense if the Skill Book indicates that it only activates when the General is leading the army to attack. So it is better to use it on Generals who cannot use attack books.
How to apply Debuff Skill Books
If you purchased the Debuff Skill Book Package, you need to open the Debuff Skill Book chest to get your Debuff Skill Books.
You then have to assign the Books to a General to activate them. Adding Skill Books to a General is as simple as navigating to the General and selecting the “Skills” category.
However it is difficult to get the exact Skill Books that you want to for the General to stick.
When a Book has been applied, there is a possibility that the next Skill Book you assign will overwrite one of the previous Skill Books which you have already added. This chance increases as you assign more Skill Books.
