Evony: Zeroed

Getting zeroed in Evony means that all your troops were killed in the battle, therefore, you have to train new troops before another battle begins.

Evony: The King’s Return is an exhilarating video game that invites gamers to assume the role of a lord or lady in medieval times. Evony players have created several terms and an overall slang terminology to describe certain things in the game.

One of the terms that you may encounter is Zeroed, however, several players do not know what it means.

Evony: Zeroed

There are several player-created terms and slang that you may experience in Evony. One of these terms is Zeroed, but some players do not know what it means. In general terms, getting zeroed means that all your troops have been killed.

This does not apply to troops who have been wounded in battle. Wounded troops can be healed in the hospital, but killed troops have to be replaced by newly-trained troops. Zeroed, in simple terms, means that your entire army was killed in the battle.

Getting zeroed happens when you do not have enough troops, or when your troops are not strong enough to vanquish the enemy.

To prevent getting zeroed, players have to consider the enemy’s power level if it is a monster on the world map before fighting them.

With player-versus-player, you can scout the other player’s empire to get information about the keep. You can then decide if you have enough troops to defeat the player.

Vanquishing monsters on the world map

When you find a monster that you want to fight on the world map, you can find out what your chances are of winning by clicking on the monster. In the pop-up menu, the game will automatically indicate whether you will win the battle or not.

If the chances of winning the battle are low, you should not attempt to vanquish the monster,  because the chances of getting zeroed are high.

How to increase your troops’ strength

There are different troop types in Evony, and each troop type has several categories. For instance, the Archer building allows you to train Slinger Conscripts, Composite Bow Archers, and Temple Archers, among others.

The higher the rank of the specific Archer is, the stronger the Archer is. However, these high-rank troops can only be unlocked when you upgrade the building to a specific level.

The Temple Archers can be unlocked when you the Archer building is upgraded to level 40.

Players therefore have to upgrade their troop buildings to unlock stronger troops.

Training troops

After getting zeroed, you have to train new troops before you can attack another monster or player again. Moreover, to train troops, you have to construct specific buildings and regularly upgrade them to unlock improved troops.

You also have to use resources to train troops. For example, to train 450 Longbow Archers, you need 54 thousand food, 144 thousand lumber, and 54 thousand stones.
