MCoC: Necropolis Rewards

Players who have reached the Paragon level in MCoC can enjoy the Necropolis game to earn rich rewards, most of which can be used to ascend your Champions

You have to assemble a mighty team of heroes and villains in Marvel Contest of Champions (MCoC) to embark on quests to fight enemies.

Players can face the challenge of a mysterious new super powerful cosmic competitor to prevent the total destruction of the Marvel Universe.

Necropolis Rewards

The patch notes for update 41.3 revealed that the Grandmaster is seeking assistance in to deal with a peculiar problem.

He claims that his brother, the Collector, has a collection of failed experimental Champions which are housed in a special area of the Battlerealm, which he named The Necropolis.

The Collector has been trying to hide the Necropolis to conceal his mistakes from prying eyes, but now the area has been exposed. The Grandmaster opened the doors of the Necropolis to players on Wednesday, 15 November 2023.

There are 6 paths you have to complete, and each path consists of several opponents that you have to defeat. The first path is considered the easiest, while the difficulty increases as you progress to the other paths.

You will only get rewards once you have completed a path. The rewards that you can earn if you successfully complete it are as follows:

Path Rewards
1 200 Tier 2 Ascension Dust
2 Generic Rank 4 to 5 Gem ( 6 Star)
3 7-Star Basic Crystal
4 7-Star Basic Crystal
5 Generic Rank 4 to 5 Gem ( 6 Star)
6 200 Tier 2 Ascension Dust

Ascension

Most of the rewards that you earn for completing the Necropolis paths can be used to ascend your Champions. When a Champion is ascended, their health points and their attack will increase.

However, the amount by which they increase depends on their star ranking:

Star ranking Health increase Attack increase
4-Star 30% 30%
5-Star 20% 20%
6-Star 22% 22%

Players should note that ascension will enable overlapping of powers across Champion rarities.

This means that maxed 4-star ascended Champions will overlap with 5-star rank 4 Champions which are not Ascended, near their maximum level.

Opponents

To earn these rewards, you need to vanquish all the opponents on every path as well as the Grandmaster. The following table lists the opponents that you will have to defeat to be rewarded:

Who can complete the Necropolis?

Unfortunately, the Necropolis has certain requirements that must be met before you can complete the paths. According to the patch notes, only players who have reached the Paragon level can enjoy the new game mode.

To reach the Paragon level, you have to complete Act 7 Chapter 4 and have 3 x Rank 4 6-star Champions in your Roster.

Allegedly, the developers did not put this out of reach for skilled Summoners that choose not to purchase 6-Star Rank 4 Materials. Thus, it remains accessible for all Summoners to obtain, regardless of your monetary investments.

If you are yet to reach Paragon level, you will not be able to claim the rewards. However, we do not recommend that you rush the content to reach Paragon as Necropolis activity will be active for some time.
