There are numerous Summoner Profile options in MCoC that you can search for if you are interested in dueling Spider-Man (Classic)
One of the key aspects that you can enjoy in Marvel Contest of Champions (MCoC) is fighting various AI-controlled opponents to hone your skills and earn rewards.
The Duel Targets mode serves as practice for Summoners to test their abilities, practice combos and refine your fighting techniques.
One of the targets that you can practice against is Spider-Man (Classic), however, before beginning the fight, we recommend that you consider his strengths, weaknesses, abilities and buffs as they can affect the battle.
To begin the fight against him, click on your mailbox icon, which can be found in the bottom left corner of the main menu.

In this menu, you can select the ‘Search” option and type “Matthew2342” into the search bar. By Select the Summoner Profile, and you will see that you can duel Spider-Man (Classic).
Alternatively, you can type “Spidey” in the search bar to duel a Rank 2, level 3 Spider-Man (Classic).
If you are interested in defeating a Rank 2, Level 12 Spider-Man (Classic), you can search “123” and select the [OVV] Summoner Profile. Players can only duel targets once they have reached level 7 in the game.
Fortunately, the level restriction is quite low, which means that most players will have access to the mode, but if you only started playing the game recently, you will not be able to duel Spider-Man (Classic).
Strategy
Spider-Man (Classic) is a Science Champion, which means that he has a Class Bonus against Mystic Champions. We therefore advise Summoners to not use any Mystic Champion against him as you are likely to lose the round.
Instead, you can use your Skill Champions to vanquish him as he is weak against them. Skill Champions include:
- Aegon
- Attuma
- Black Cat
- Black Panther
- Black Widow
- Chee’lth
- Daredevil
- Mantis
- Kingpin
- Gwenpool
- Mole Man
Spider-Man (Classic) Weaknesses
You can use Spider-Man’s weaknesses to your advantage to win the fight. Since every attack in a special attack counts as an attack, opponents with many hits in their Special can quickly chew through Spider-Man’s Webbing.
You should also note that he depends heavily on Debuffs to fuel his ability, and he relies on the Stun in his Special 2 to deal most of his damage. If he cannot apply the Stun debuff, he will not be able to deal a lot of damage.
Spider-Man (Classic) Abilities
Similarly to other Champions in MCoC, Spider-Man (Classic) has a few special attacks that you need to be aware of before you begin the duel, namely:
