MSF: Starbrand ISO-8

Even though you can apply any ISO-8 class to Starbrand in MSF, we recommend the Raider, Striker or Skirmisher classes

On Saturday, 10 February 2024, Marvel Strike Force (MSF) introduced the Out of Time team, which consists of Captain America, Captain Carter, Black Knight, Cosmic Ghost Rider and Starbrand.

Since the release of the new and updated characters, players have been wondering what the best ISO-8 class is for them.

Starbrand is a hulkling Brawler with a huge damage output and focus. His main objective is to smash foes into tiny pieces and all of his abilities have special targeting which crushes injured, speedy and high-damage enemies.

He also has a synergy with his Stone Age Avengers teammate, Black Panther (1MM) and grants the original Black Panther additional Damage and Drain.

In order to enhance Starbrand’s capabilities, players should assign an ISO-8 class to him, though you cannot just apply any ISO-8 class as some classes will have no effect on Starbrand.

He can hit multiple targets with each of his abilities and he has an increased Crit Chance per Out of Time allies.

This allows him to Crit quite regularly, which makes the Raider ISO-8 class a good option for him. Moreover, since his damage statistic is fairly good, players can also assign the Striker class to him.

Players should note that he also applies a couple of impactful negative effects, including Stun.

Starbrand can flip all positive effects on his enemies with his Ultimate. His focus statistic is quite good, so he will not have any trouble transforming the positive effects into negative effects.

However, while you are increasing his stars, you might have to assign the Skirmisher class to him.

Starbrand’s abilities

To assign an ISO-8 class to Starbrand, gamers should understand how his abilities function:

Abilities Description
Ancient Fury
  • Attacks primary target for 32% damage and applies Offense Down
  • Attacks the enemy with the highest Damage, ignoring Taunt and Stealth, for 300% damage. Also applies Offense Down
Primal Star Strike
  • Attacks the target for 400% damage and applies Slow. Reduces Speed Bar by 15% and an additional 10% per Out of Time and Black Panther ally
  • Attacks adjacent targets for 350% damage
Primeval Wrath
  • Attacks primary target for 600%, applies Stun and flips all positive effects into negative effects
  • Attacks adjacent targets for 500% damage
  • Attacks the most injured enemy, ignoring Taunt and Stealth for 500% damage
Primordial Star
  • On spawn, applies Immunity to self and all Out of Time allies
  • Gain several buffs, including Health, Damage, Crit Chance and Drain

How to acquire Starband

Before you can assign an ISO-8 class to Starbrand, you have to add him to your roster. According to a recent blog post, Starbrand is heading to a battlefield near you.

Players must target injured, speedy and high-damage opponents and then rip them to pieces with this blast from the past.

Players can recruit Starbrand when his character shards become available in the In the Stars Orb for 675 Power Cores, which has a chance to reward up to 180 Starbrand shards.

Power Cores are MSF’s premium currency, which means that they can only be procured by purchasing the currency with real money.

However several players believe that you will be able to acquire Starbrand for free in the near future.

Out of Time team

As previously stated, the Out of Time team comprises Captain America, Captain Carter, Black Knight, Cosmic Ghost Rider and Starbrand.

Even though you can use this team for any activity in MSF, it specializes in the Alliance War, however, it will be necessary for the new Legendary Event.

We recommend that you place Captain Carter in the corner to keep her alive as soon as possible, and you can position Cosmic Ghost Rider next to her.

Starbrand can be assigned to the middle position and you can place Black Knight and Captain America on the other side.

Out of Time ISO-8 classes

MSF players have to assign an ISO-8 class to every member of the Out of Time team to enhance their capabilities.

The following table lists the recommended ISO-8 classes for each member:

Character Recommended ISO-8 class
Captain America Since he is a Protector and a sizable part of the opponent’s attacks will fall on him, we recommend that you assign the Fortifier class to him.
Black Knight He is an excellent Striker as all his attacks deal Piercing damage.
Cosmic Ghost Rider He can be an exceptional Raider since he hits all opponents with his special ability.
Captain Carter It is practical to have her as a Striker due to her follow-up attack after which she applies Regeneration on the most injured ally.
