PSO2 NGS: Dark Falz Solus

Dark Falz Solus is an incredibly tough enemy PSO2: NGS players can defeat during the Sign of the Planetbreaker quest.

Players can become a part of the Artificial Relict to Keep Species (ARKS) organization in this exciting video game, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis (PSO2: NGS).

The game’s developer, Sega, recently released the August 2023 update info, which introduces the Dark Falz Solus.

PSO2 NGS: Dark Falz Solus

The August 2023 update announced that players can now test their abilities in the new high-difficulty quest, Sign of the Planetbreaker.

This Major Target Suppression Mission requires 3750 battle power as the average enemy is level 75.

To complete this quest, players have to defeat Dark Falz Solus, which is an incredibly powerful unique enemy. Fortunately, you can team up with other PSO2: NGS players to defeat this enemy and claim rich rewards.

Some players recently mentioned that they successfully defeated the Dark Falz Solus with only 125 percent potency, however other teams have more than 140 percent potency and are unable to slay the enemy.

It is therefore crucial that players know how their character’s class functions and follow a specific strategy to defeat the boss.

Strategy

In a recent Reddit thread, some players shared a somewhat coherent strategy on how to defeat Dark Falz Solus.

According to them, near the end of the cutscene before you get to the square platform that is Phase 1 Arena, you need to double jump slightly to the left of where you will appear.

You then have to click the lock on button and spawn whatever rotation you can. This will allow you to get a little early damage on that arm before you truly start the battle.

All 4 party members should rush to the back of Falz and defeat the part there as it shoots missiles. With the missiles destroyed, it will be easier to focus on the Pods.

When the part is broken, the team should focus on 1 pod together before attacking Falz’s left arm. You have to repeat this process until both arms are defeated.

Pillars will then rise up on both sides of the arena with 2 glowing objectives on the top. Players have to rush to destroy the objects as they will insta-kill your team.

Players then have to face an area-of-effect skill, but unfortunately, the strategy to survive this phase has yet to be revealed.

Sign of the Planetbreaker

Players can accept the Sign of the Planetbreaker quest by interacting with the Dimensional Fault located in Central Retem.

Although the quest objective, which is to slay the target enemies, is fairly straightforward, you only have 15 minutes to complete the quest.

The first time you complete the quest, you will receive 1 VG: Aina as well as a VG: Manon. However, there are several weapons, units and Augments that can drop when you defeat the Dark Falz Solus.

Tips

Before starting the Sign of the Planetbreaker quest, you should aim for a decent potency. Some players recommend a 145 percent potency, but it is not guaranteed that you will slay the enemy.

Other PSO2: NGS players mention that you will greatly benefit with a Ranger on the team as blight will make a huge difference.

Furthermore, Rugged weapons with Citadel Unit potential allow for mistakes, which makes them great for learning the fight.
