You can team up with other PSO2: NGS players to defeat the Dark Falz Solus during the Sign of the Planetbreaker quest.

Sega, the game’s developer, recently released the August 2023 update info, which introduced the Solus enemy to PSO2: NGS.
PSO2 NGS: Solus
The August 2023 update introduced a new Major Target Suppression mission called Sign of the Planetbreaker.
To complete this quest, players must slay a Solus, also known as a Dark Falz Solus. In theory, this is a straightforward quest, but the boss is extremely difficult to defeat.
Your character needs at least 3750 battle power to qualify for this quest and although it is not a requirement, it is advisable that you have at least 140 percent potency.
That being said, there are players that were able to defeat the Solus with 125 percent potency.
Since the enemy is extremely powerful, you need to team up with other PSO2: NGS gamers to slay it. You can either team up with your friends or search for other PSO2: NGS players who are interested in vanquishing the enemy.
Before starting the quest, you should procure the best gear available for your character. Furthermore, your team has to develop a strategy to defeat the Solus.
Sign of the Planetbreaker
To conquer Solus, you need to accept the Sign of the Planetbreaker quest by interacting with the Dimensional Fault located in Central Retem.
The quest requires that you slay the target enemies, which is the Solus, and although this objective sounds easy, you only have 15 minutes to do so.
If you become incapacitated 5 times, you will fail the quest. Players will also fail the quest if they exceed the 15 minute time-limit.
Rewards
By successfully slaying Solus, you will receive many rewards. For completing the quest for the first time, you will receive VG: Aina and VG: Manon. However, there is also a chance that you could earn the following:
- 9-star Tisha weapon series
- 8-star Neos Astraean weapon series
- 7-star Gold Primm Sword II
- 6-star Sechetyl Series
- Ajax armor
- Efitus Armor: Arga
- Gold Primm Armor II
- C/Starl Soul
- C/Might IV
- C/Precision IV
- C/Technique IV
Tips for defeating Solus
PSO2: NGS players should get early damage on one of the enemy’s arms as soon as the fight begins. The whole team should work together to destroy the back of the enemy, as this part shoots missiles at team members.
The team then has to focus on the pods, though we recommend that you only focus on 1 pod at a time.
Once all the pods are destroyed, you can slay Solus’s arms, after which pillars will spawn with glowing objects. You have to vanquish them as soon as possible, as there will be an insta-kill lava rising well above the pillars.
After destroying the orbs, you will be transported to the phase 2 arena, which features a massive area-of-effect instant-kill attack. Players should then focus on the staff to deplete the opponent’s health points.
