The game’s developer, Sega, recently introduced a lot of new content, including 8-star weapons. One of the 8-star weapon series that you can procure is Effulgent.
Why should you acquire new weapons?
In the early stages of PSO2: NGS, your character will use very basic weapons with limited statistics. The basic weapons are generally ranked with 1 or 2 stars. Although the weapons are not very powerful, you can defeat enemies and progress in the game with them.
However, when your character gains higher levels and reaches the midgame stage, you are going to need weapons with a higher star ranking. This is because the enemies and content that you have to complete becomes more difficult to master.
It is therefore imperative that you obtain new weapons regularly, as you will struggle to defeat enemies with basic weapons.
PSO2 NGS: Effulgent
Sega recently added 8-star weapons to the game, which implies that these weapons are extremely powerful, and probably the best in the game. One of the 8-star weapon series that you can acquire is Effulgent, which is a Blitz Unit.
This weapon deals 15 percent extra damage to enemies that are weak to fire, and 10 percent extra damage to those that are not weak against fire. In PSO2: NGS, the Effulgent weapon series can be upgraded.

An Effulgent weapon’s base attack is 446, although it can be increased to 611. Unfortunately, the weapon’s maximum attack is 611, so you cannot upgrade its attack to more than 611.
How to obtain an Effulgent weapon
The only way players can get an Effulgent weapon is by defeating enemies in the Stia region. Stia is the fourth region expansion of PSO2: NGS, and it introduces new quests to complete as well as various new enemies to kill.
Since it is a rare drop, you may have to defeat several enemies in Stia before you will get an Effulgent weapon. Although it is a rare drop, players who are interested in procuring the weapon should not lose hope if they do not receive the weapon after several kills.
Nils Stia Urgent Quest
The Nils Stia Urgent Quest requires that players use a fire weapon or a fire technique.
Regardless of the class that you play, you should ensure that you use a fire weapon or technique, as you have to use the fire element to defeat enemies at one stage during the quest.
In order to complete this quest, you should use an Effulgent weapon if you are willing to farm it. However, it is not necessary to acquire the weapon just to complete the quest.
If you are going to use the weapon outside of the quest, then you should farm the weapon.
Which Effulgent weapon should you use?
If you are interested in getting an Effulgent weapon, you should note that the type of weapon that you should use is determined by your character’s class.
This is because each class specialises in a specific weapon, and if you use the wrong weapon, your character will not be as efficient.
But since the Effulgent weapon series is a drop, you will likely receive the correct weapon for your character’s class when you obtain it.
