Farming Blizzardium in PSO2: NGS can be very time-consuming, luckily, there are numerous methods you can use to make it easier.
Players are invited to experience a combination of role-playing elements and tactical strategies in this adventurous video game, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis (PSO2: NGS).
This game is an updated version of the well-renowned game franchise, Phantasy Star Online 2, and since it was released a decade after its predecessor, they differ significantly in content, graphics, and gameplay.
The game takes place a thousand years after the events of Oracle, on a persistent planet called Halpha. Gamers can assume the role of a Meteron, who is part of the Artificial Relict to Keep Species (ARKS) military force.
It is your responsibility to combat an evil new threat, the DOLLS. On your quest, you will find varying materials and resources, and one of them is Blizzardium.
What is Blizzardium?
Blizzardium is an extremely rare mineral in the Kvaris region. Its sole purpose is to be exchanged for items in the Kvaris exchange shop. The shop has a variety of items you can purchase once you have enough Blizzardium.
Sega, the game’s developer, recently introduced a new weapon set, called Kaizaar, to the shop. It is a 7-star set that contains 16 weapons. Although there are variations, every weapon in this set provides your character with the same benefits.
Once you have equipped a Kaizaar item, your character will benefit from an increase in Potency, Critical Hit Rate, and Photon Blast Gauge. It also decreases your character’s photon point consumption when equipped.
PSO2 NGS: Farming Blizzardium
To purchase an item from the Kvaris exchange shop, players have to accumulate a certain quantity of Blizzardium, which depends on the product, as you need 150 Blizzardium before you can purchase a Kaizaar weapon.
It is worth noting that procuring Blizzardium is quite a feat, as it is an extremely rare mineral. However, there are some methods you can use to make the farming process easier. Players can procure 1 Blizzardium daily by going to the mountain near the Deepwell Tower in West Kvaris.
The Blizzardium can be found on the highest point of the mountain, but it only spawns during a storm. Once you have it, you can travel to Mount Latva to find golden boxes.
These boxes can allegedly drop a Blizzardium once they are destroyed. There are 3 golden boxes in the area, but there is no guarantee that you will get 3 Blizzardiums.
There are no weather requirements for getting a Blizzardium from the golden boxes, so players can destroy these boxes in any weather conditions. Alternatively, you can collect minerals and destroy boxes in Mistra Woods to accumulate Blizzardium.
Players can also destroy yellow boxes in West Kvaris for a chance to get Blizzardium. If none of these farming methods are successful, it is advisable that you head to the Belugana Ruins.
It contains multiple trials and players have to surfboard around the trials until they have activated the trial with 6 golden boxes.
You can then collect the boxes before you defeat the mobs. Players should not defeat the mobs first, as the boxes disappear when the mobs are killed.
Is it mandatory to farm Blizzardium in the Belugana Ruins?
Some NGS players prefer to refrain from participating in the Trials in the Belugana Ruins. It is worth noting that farming Blizzardium in these Ruins is completely optional. It is your decision whether or not you want to use this farming method.
Some players claim that farming the Belugana Ruins is the most effective method for obtaining Blizzardium. However, this is untrue, as there are players who acquired 16 Blizzardiums within a week in the open world exploration areas.
Can you purchase Blizzardium?
Players that are in a hurry to acquire Blizzardium and that do not want to spend days farming can purchase it from the Treasure Shop. This is an in-game shop that exchanges unique items for either SG or N-Meseta.
Players should keep in mind that the items in the shop refresh from a pool of select items every 24 hours. However, it can be refreshed for free once daily, but any additional refreshes have additional costs.
You can purchase Blizzardium from the Treasure Shop for approximately 20 000 N-Meseta, but take note that it is not always available.
Blizzardium Discord server
There is allegedly a Discord server that players can join in which fellow NGS gamers call out rooms with passwords. This allows you to enter the password in-game, then you will be teleported to a trial that spawns 6 boxes.
You can destroy all the boxes and reset it when you are done so that other gamers can join the trial. Gamers pair this method with rare boosts like rappy fritters, food boosts, and concert boosts as they affect the drop rate of Blizzardium.
With a 100 percent boost, the Treasure Shop boost, and a food boost, players can acquire 10 Blizzardiums hourly.
Players should ensure that they contribute to the Discord server by posting their rooms and passwords when a trial is active so that others can benefit from it.
