The Rugged weapons in PSO2: NGS are ranked with a 7-star rarity, which makes them incredibly difficult to procure.
Players are invited to explore the fictional planet of Halpha in this imaginative, thrilling mobile game, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis (PSO2: NGS).
Since it is based on the classic video game, Phantasy Star Online 2, gamers can expect similar mechanics and content. However, NGS was released 10 years after its predecessor, so it features updated graphics and gameplay.
The game takes place a thousand years after the events of the Oracle, and you can assume the role of a Meteron in it.
Your character is part of the Artificial Relict to Keep Species (ARKS) military force, and it is your responsibility to defeat an array of enemies. Players will accumulate a variety of gear and weapon sets as they progress in the storyline.
What is the objective of gear and weapons?
Every weapon and gear set in the game provides your character with additional benefits or statistics, depending on the set. Players should note that some sets are more powerful than others, as determined by their rarity, benefits, and abilities.
The objective of gear and weapons is to increase your character’s statistics, to protect them from enemies’ attacks, and to deal damage to foes.
Thus, it can be said that you will have a difficult time clearing content in the game without gear and weapons equipped.
PSO2 NGS: Rugged weapons
Sega, the game’s developer, sometimes introduces new and exciting features to the game to keep players engaged and interested. They recently added a new weapon set called the Rugged series, and unlike other weapons, it has a 7-star rarity ranking.
This weapon set can offer your character several benefits, such as a potency increase of 18 percent. It also decreases your photon points (PP) consumption by 30 percent for 20 seconds when you consume 300 photon points. However, it has a 10-second cooldown.
Similarly to other weapon sets in the game, the Rugged series can be upgraded. Fortunately , no extreme materials are required to reach the next level. The Rugged weapons allegedly have a higher base attack damage.
The game’s 6-star weapons’ base attack damages are significantly lower compared to their Rugged equivalent. Examples of the 6-star weapons are Evolveeclipse set and the Sechetyle weapons. The difference in base attack grows higher as the weapons’ level increases.
For instance, the Rugged Sword’s maximum attack is 676, and the Rokz Roughewn Sword’s damage is 478. That being said, the 7-star Kaizaar Sword’s maximum attack is 671, almost equal to the Rugged version.
Players should remember that Rugged Weapons have different potentials, based on whatever weapon you are using. This makes them quite similar to the Relic series.
What are the Rugged weapon potentials?
There are 16 weapons in the Rugged series, each of which has a distinct potential. The potential for each weapon at a maximum level is:
