One of the mission chains that you can complete in STFC is Blood and Cosmic Dust, which consists of 5 parts.
In order to progress in Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC) you have to complete a range of space-based missions.
One of these mission chains is Blood and Cosmic Dust, which cannot simply be started by accepting it in a system. You therefore have to open your Holodeck to commence the Blood and Cosmic Dust mission chain.
Commanders must complete a variety of objectives in order to complete all parts of the mission chain:
Blood and Cosmic Dust part | Objectives |

Rewards
For every Blood and Cosmic Dust mission that you complete, you will earn rich rewards:

Blood and Cosmic Dust part 3
As seen in the above-mentioned table, you can either cause a distraction or hack the security feed to complete part 3 of the Blood and Cosmic Dust mission chain. The path that you choose during this mission determines your rewards.
If you choose to cause a distraction, you have to disable the automated vessel to earn Latinum, Explorer Parts and Common Refined Gas.
However, if you choose to hack the security feed, you have to donate 900 000 Dilithium to earn Tritanium, Dilithium, Battleship Parts and Common Refined Ore.
Mission requirements
The mission chain does not clearly identify the requirements that you have to meet to complete all of its parts.
However, some of the missions require that you vanquish level 33 or higher opponents, which suggests that low-level players will not be able to complete the mission.
Furthermore, you need a minimum warp range of 50 to travel to the necessary systems to complete the missions.
It is therefore assumed that only mid-game STFC Commanders will be able to complete the Blood and Cosmic Dust mission chain.
