STFC players have to defeat Borg Probes in order to obtain Inert Nanoprobes, however, they only spawn in specific systems.
In 2020, Scopely released the Borg enemies to Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC) and since then, players have been vanquishing Borg Probes to procure rare items.
Even if the Borg Probes have been in the game for 4 years, some Commanders still do not know where to find them.
It is worth noting that the Borg Probes’ level determines the system in which they spawn. This essentially means that a level 25 Borg Probe and a level 36 Borg Probe cannot be found in the same system.
If you are looking for a Borg Probe of a specific level, you can use the following table:

Each of the mentioned systems have a warp range requirement, and if you do not meet the requirement, you will not be able to travel to the mentioned system.
However, you are then able to travel to another system with a lower warp range requirement to destroy the Borg Probes.
How to find the Borg Probes
Unfortunately, the exact location of the Borg Probes is unknown. Commanders therefore have to enter one of the mentioned systems and search the entire system until they find a Borg Probe.
This means that you may search for 10 minutes, or you could only search the system for a few seconds before they find a Borg Probe.
When you come across a Borg Probe, you can defeat it to earn rich rewards. Keep in mind, however, that you will receive more resources when you defeat a higher-level Borg Probe than when you defeat a low-level Borg Probe.
Nanoprobes
Players will receive Inert Nanoprobes by defeating Borg hostiles. You can refine the Inert Nanoprobes in your Refinery Borg Tab, however, you can choose between 2 types of Refined Nanoprobes:

Crews
Although you can use any crew to vanquish the Borg Probes, it is not recommended as some crews will perform better than others.
For Borg Probes up to and including level 28, you can use Pike, Moreau and Chen. If you are yet to get these Officers, you can use Picard, Beverly and Chen.
If you want to defeat level 29 and higher Borg Probes, we recommend that STFC players use T’Laan instead of Chen to gain additional bonuses.
