STFC’s Prime Delta Spike Research Node adds bonus rolls of Artifact rewards in the common and rare Anomaly Sample refinery.
You can enter a galaxy on the brink of war in Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC) as different federations fight for control of the various quadrants.
When you first start playing STFC, you will only have 1 ship for your starbase, but as you make headway in the game you can construct legendary vessels and recruit iconic officers.
Prime Delta Spike
There are numerous research nodes that you can unlock, and for every node you unlock, you will receive an array of buffs and bonuses.
The game’s developer, Scopely, recently released 2 additional research nodes that you can unlock to earn bonuses.
One of the new research nodes that you can unlock is Prime Delta Spike, which essentially improves the Voyager Refinery Payout.
This means that it adds bonus rolls of Artifact rewards in the common and rare Anomaly Sample refinery.
To unlock this node, you need to acquire 100 million Dilithium as well as 1800 Astral Prime Particles. Commanders can mine Dilithium in the Neutral and Faction Zones, which means that it is a free resource.
The Astral Prime Particles, on the other hand, can only be procured by purchasing an in-game package with real money.
So only players who are willing to spend real money in STFC will be able to unlock the Prime Delta Strike node.

How to purchase Astral Prime Particles
To unlock the Prime Delta Spike node, you have to purchase the Astral Prime Particles from the “Offers” tab in STFC.
At the time of writing, it is unknown whether the Astral Prime Particles package is available for purchase or not.
If it is not available for purchase, we believe that you will be able to purchase the package as soon as Scopely releases the package.
However, if it is available, you can select the “Purchase” or “Buy” option and follow the given instructions to complete the payment.
Keep in mind that you may have to enter your payment details to complete the payment.
Once the payment is complete, you will receive your items instantly, which means that you will then be able to unlock the Delta Spike node.
How many additional Artifact rolls will you get?
Once you have purchased the Astral Prime Particles, you will be able to unlock the Delta Spike research node.
Though it is worth noting that it takes approximately 32 days, 9 hours and 40 minutes to fully unlock this node.
Since this node only has 1 level, you do not have to increase the node to get additional bonuses and buffs. When the node is fully unlocked, you will receive 3 Artifact rolls, both on the Common and Rare Anomalies refines.
This bonus can have a huge impact on your gameplay, however, players should note that it is not mandatory that they unlock the Delta Spike.
If you decide not to unlock the node, you will still be able to acquire the Artifact rolls, but it may take you much longer to obtain the rolls.
Prime Delta Spike Research (Heroic) – SMS
In order to celebrate the arrival of the new Delta Spike Research Node, gamers can participate in the Prime Delta Spike Research (Heroic) – SMS event.
This event began on Monday, 11 December 2023 and it will conclude on Monday, 25 December 2023. Unfortunately, only commanders level 34 and level 99 can participate in this event.
The official STFC description reads, “Commander, while threats have grown in space, so have the possibilities and our new technological advancements will allow us to make the most of them.”
To score points in this event, you have to research the Prime Delta Spike. If you complete the research while the event is active, you will get 48 000 Contained Thalaron.
