STFC: Anomaly Samples

To upgrade STFC’s USS Voyager, players have to mine Anomaly Samples, which can be found in specific systems in the Delta Quadrant.

In this thrilling mobile game, Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC) players can build ships, defeat enemies, complete space-based missions and harvest resources.

Update 55 was released on Tuesday, 6 June 2023 and it introduced a range of new items for gamers to procure, one of which is Anomaly Samples.

STFC: Anomaly Samples

The USS Voyager is a legendary ship that players can add to their arsenal by collecting its blueprints. When you reach level 30, you can defeat Hirogen enemies in the Delta Quadrant to farm its blueprints.

Even when you have enough blueprints, you can only build the ship when you have reached level 34.

After building the vessel, you have to upgrade it regularly to enhance its capabilities. To upgrade the USS Voyager, you have to refine Exotic Biotoxins and Anomaly Samples. It is noteworthy that you can mine Anomaly Samples in specific systems.

Although you can use various miners to harvest the Anomaly Samples, you should use the Voyager.

On the official Discord server an STFC player, Jawarrior2001, explained that you can mine the materials in the new Transwarp systems, which are next to the Hirogen Hunter systems.

More specifically, you can find Anomaly Samples in:

  • FSEP-505
  • FSEP-3819
  • FSEP-247
  • FSEP-001

Exotic Biotoxins

In addition to the Anomaly Samples, you have to collect Exotic Biotoxins to upgrade your USS Voyager. To procure this item, you must vanquish the new Species 8472 in the Velixys system, which is in the Delta Quadrant.

Species 8472 is a formidable new foe that traveled through the fluidic space through quantum singularities and brought the fight to our dimension.

The species, also referred to as Formation Armadas, is in selected systems of the Delta Quadrant.

How to find Species 8472

Players should note that Species 8472 can hide from normal sensors, so most of the ships in STFC cannot locate them. In order to find them, you must use the USS Voyager’s active ability, Advanced Sensors.

This ability uncovers hidden hostiles in the Delta Quadrant, such as the elusive Species 8472. That being said, this skill requires Deuterium Canisters to function.

This ability also has a duration and a cooldown, which means that it is only active for a certain time and cannot be used while it is in its cooldown period.

Voyager cargo hold

On the official Discord server, several STFC players have shared their concern about the Voyager’s cargo hold. At one point of the Voyager Arc, you have to mine a specific amount of Anomaly Samples.

For instance, step 4 requires that you harvest 500 000 Anomaly Samples, but the Voyager’s cargo hold is incredibly small, so it may take several days to complete the task.
