To vanquish the Silent Hostiles in STFC from the galaxy, players have to use a specific crew, which includes Trip Tucker.
A recent Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC) update introduced Silent Enemies to the game. They are powerful hostiles equipped with various buffs, including Critical Chance, Critical Damage, Critical Floor and Burning Status.
Since these enemies have powerful buffs, you cannot randomly select your crew to defeat them. Fortunately, there are several crew combinations you can use to vanquish the Silent Hostiles from the galaxy.
Several Commanders have revealed that Janeway as Captain with Doctor and Trip worked the best against the enemies. However, you can also use Pike, Moreau and Chen if you are yet to obtain the meta officers to your collection.
Additionally, you can also use ENT-E Picard, Data and Tucker to defeat the Silent enemies. When fighting a Silent Hostile, it is crucial that you protect your ships against critical damage and therefore, we recommend that you always use Tucker.
However, players who do not have Tucker can use SNW Pike as the captain with Una or Hemmer. If you do not use Tucker, you should note that your vessel may take more damage, which means that you may lose the battle.
Although a few players have had success in defeating the Silent enemies without Tucker, it is not recommended. Commanders should, therefore, obtain Tucker as soon as possible if they are interested in defeating as many Silent Enemies as possible.
By defeating Silent Enemies, you will obtain Temporal Disruptor Parts, which can be exchanged for Reward Chests.
Silent Enemies location
Once you have assigned the correct crew to a vessel, you need to travel to specific systems to locate Silent Enemies. It is worth remembering that the level of the enemy determines the system in which they spawn:
Silent Enemy level | System |
41 | Aethera Nova |
44 | Aethera Nova |
46 | Orinthus Prime |
49 | Orinthus Prime |
51 | Valtara Minor |
55 | Lyrae Nebula |
61 | Aquinelan Star |
63 | Korolios Void |
65 | Zephyrion Axis |
Commanders should note that they may encounter Battleship and Explorer Silent Enemies in the same system.
When considering the battle triangle, we recommend that you ensure you have the correct ship, and select the correct type of Silent Enemy before initiating a battle.
Silent Enemies buff explanation
As previously mentioned, the Silent Enemies have a variety of buffs, however these buffs activate at certain times during the battle.
They have a 100 percent critical chance for the first 4 rounds of combat and also do 500 percent critical damage on each hit. The enemies will also increase their own critical damage by 350 percent at the start of each round.
After that, the Silent Enemies drop down to 10 percent critical chance, however you should note that they apply the burning effect for the first 6 rounds of the battle.
This means that regardless of how high your mitigation, the effect will be 1 percent hull a round for these rounds, unless you are able to destroy the hostile first.
Trip Tucker
It is crucial that you protect your vessel against critical damage and Trip Tucker is therefore the key to surviving the battle.
Similar to other officers in STFC, Trip Tucker has a variety of abilities you can use to defeat enemies:
Ability type | Name | Description |
Officer Ability | Things Blow Up | When you take damage from a hostile or another player, Tucker decreases your opponent’s critical damage by 50 percent for 2 rounds. Keep in mind that this ability can stack. |
Below Decks Ability | Hand in the Cookie Jar | This ability increases the amount of resources you obtain by defeating Hirogen and Species 8472 hostiles by 30 percent. |
If you have not collected Tucker, you can head to the event store and purchase him with ENT Coins. However, you may not have enough coins to complete the purchase.
You can obtain additional coins by completing away team assignments and by opening the 7-day chest.
Rewards
As previously mentioned, you will receive Disruptor Parts for defeating a Silent Enemy. Commanders can use this item to upgrade their Temporal Artifacts in the Artifact Gallery.
Temporal Artifacts is a new type of Artifact you can unlock to obtain a variety of bonuses.
Keep in mind though that only STFC players level 38 and higher can unlock the new Artifacts. Unlike the other Artifacts, the Temporal Artifacts don’t have to be unlocked in a specific order.
We recommend that you unlock The Great Eye of Ara first as it increases Artifact Fragment cost efficiency for all Artifacts.
