STFC players can only discover species 8472’s location in the Delta Quadrant by using the Voyager’s active skill, Advanced Sensors.
Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC) is an exhilarating video game that invites you to explore star systems, build ships, mine resources, complete missions, join alliances and defeat enemies.
As you progress in the game, you will discover myriad species, one of which is species 8472.
STFC: Species 8472
STFC’s update 55, which was released on Tuesday, 6 June 2023, introduced several new features to the game.
The update revealed that the USS Voyager now has an active ability which reveals ships that evade regular sensors, such as the new Species 8472 hostiles.
Species 8472 is a formidable new enemy that emerged in the Delta Quadrant. These foes traveled through the fluidic space through quantum singularities and brought the fight to our dimension.
The species, also known as Formation Armadas, is in selected systems of the Delta Quadrant. They contain several simulations of Starfleet Headquarters used for reconnaissance and acquiring intelligence on Starfleet’s capabilities.
In order to vanquish them, players must know their weaknesses. Each armada has 3 targets and if they are destroyed simultaneously, this will result in the total extermination of the armada.
Only commanders above level 26 can participate in the fight against species 8472.
How to start an attack
Players should remember that they cannot attack species 8472 without Formation Armada Directives, You can acquire directives by completing the daily goals, and you can find additional directives in the “Offers” tab.
Keep in mind that you may have to purchase the additional directives with an in-game currency or with real money. To initiate an attack, players must have 100 Formation Armada Directives, which can take some time to collect.
How many Commanders are required to defeat species 8472?
Three teams, which can be from different STFC Alliances, have to select their top 4 Commanders to participate in the fight against the Formation Armadas, which essentially means that there should be 12 commanders in the fight.
If you are part of the team, remember that communication and coordination are critical to vanquishing the Formation Armadas.
When species 8472 is destroyed, commanders will receive Artifact and Premium Artifact tokens as part of their rewards. These tokens can be used to discover Artifacts in the Artifact Gallery.
In which systems can species 8472 be found?
Species 8472 can be found in selected systems in the Delta Quadrant.
STFC players have to use their Voyager’s first ability, Advance Sensors, to find the Formation Armada ships. One of the systems in which you can allegedly find species 8472 is Velixys.
Unfortunately, the rest of the systems that feature species 8472 are still unknown. Players are therefore forced to search for enemies using their Voyager.
