STFC players can find Species 8472 in the new level 35 system, Velixys, which can be found within the Delta Quadrant.
Gamers can put their strategic abilities to the test in this exhilarating video game, Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC). You can progress in the game by destroying enemies, building ships, mining resources and completing missions.
One of enemy types that you can come across is Species 8472, though players are unsure about their location.
STFC: Species 8472 Location
On Tuesday, 6 June 2023, STFC’s developer, Scopely, released the patch notes for update 55.
This update introduced various new systems, hostiles, ships and officers to the game for players to enjoy. Species 8472 is a formidable new enemy that emerged in the Delta Quadrant.
The new enemy type, otherwise referred to as Formation Armadas, traveled through the fluidic space through quantum singularities and brought the fight to our dimension.
They play a significant role in part 2 of the Voyager arc, however, several players are unsure about their location.
According to the update, Formation Armadas is located in the Velixys system, which is in the Delta Quadrant. Velixys is a neutral level 35 system, and it is located next to the Malon Vortex.
In addition to Species 8472 Bioships, you can also encounter Hirogen Hunter Elites and Hirogen Transport Freighters in Velixys.
Gamers should remember that Species 8472 can be found in other systems within the Delta Quadrant. However, it is up to you to determine their locations as update 55 did not reveal additional systems that you can find them in.
How to find Species 8472
Species 8472 are extremely unique in that they cannot be located through normal sensors. You therefore have to use a specific ship to find their hidden location within a system.
Thus, we recommend that you use your USS Voyager to travel to a system in the Delta Quadrant.
Once you are in the system, you can use the ship’s active ability, Advanced Sensors, to uncover hidden hostiles. If there is Formation Armadas in the system, the ability will reveal the location of 1 enemy vessel.
Why should you vanquish Species 8472?
Some players may find vanquishing Species 8472 a meaningless task, but it is crucial that you locate and vanquish them. This is because you will receive Exotic Biotoxins when you have defeated a Formation Armadas.
Exotic Biotoxins are used to upgrade your USS Voyager, which means that you will enhance its capabilities. In addition to the Exotic Biotoxins, you need to mine Anomaly Samples to upgrade your vessel.
How to add the Voyager to your fleet
In order to find Species 8472, you must own the USS Voyager. STFC players can acquire the vessel’s blueprints by defeating Hirogen hostiles, but you need to reach operations level 30 to do so.
When you reach Operations level 34 and have all the blueprints, you can build the Voyager.
