The new Gorn Hunters in STFC only spawn in specific systems in the galaxy, but keep in mind that each system has a warp range requirement.
Since the release of the Gorn Hunters in Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC), players have wondered which systems these powerful hostiles can be found in. Like other enemies in the game, the Gorn Hunters only spawn in specific systems.
Commanders should note that the Gorn Hunters’ levels determine the systems in which they spawn.
That being said, their exact spawn location in the system is unknown, which means that you may have to explore a system before you encounter a Gorn Hunter.
The following table lists the systems in which you will find the Gorn Hunters:
Gorn Hunter level | Systems |

It is worth noting that each of the systems mentioned in the table has a specific warp range requirement. If you do not meet this requirement, you will not be able to travel to the systems and defeat the Gorn Hunters.
Recommended Crew
Although it is tempting to randomly select a crew to vanquish the Gorn Hunters, it is not recommended. This is because the Gorn Hunters are immune to normal weaponry.
You therefore have to use crew members that can deal Isolytic Damage:
Officer | Abilities |
Enterprise-E Data | Saddle up. Lock and Load: Increases Isolytic Cascade Damage by 10% versus non-Armada hostiles. |
Nurse Chapel | Protocol 12: She increases Isolytic Cascade Damage by 5% when fighting non-Armada Hostiles. |
Enterprise-E Picard | We Used to be Explorers: Increases Isolytic Cascade Damage by 3% for 3 rounds every time you hit a non-Armada hostile. |
Kathryn Janeway | Bend the Rules: At the start of combat, she increases the amount of Isolytic Damage that you deal by 10% if you are fighting non-player hostiles and Armadas. |
Nurse Chapel
SNW Nurse Chapel was introduced with update 65 and as seen in the table, she is able to increase your Isolytic Cascade Damage.
Her officer ability, Archaeological Medicine, increases the amount of Volatile Isomatter you get from destroying Gorn Hunters by 25%.
She is therefore a great addition to your fleet, however, only players who are willing to spend real money in STFC will be able to collect her.
If you are a free-to-play player, do not be concerned, as you will still be able to progress in STFC and defeat the Gorn Hunters if you do not have her.
Why do you have to defeat the Gorn Hunters?
The Gorn Hunters are extremely powerful and allegedly, only the Commanders with the strongest fleet will be able to destroy them. If you defeat a Gorn Hunter, you will earn Broken Ship Parts, which can help you advance in the game.
However, the Gorn Hunters are part of the Isolytic Loop, which means that you will also earn Volatile Isomatter for every hostile that you conquer. Commanders can exchange this resource at the Isolytic Refinery for impressive rewards.
Players can collect officer shards, Artifact Pieces and Grade Upgrade Materials. Keep in mind, though, that some items require more Volatile Isomatter than others.
You can therefore save your Volatile Isomatter to purchase an expensive item, or you can purchase a less valuable item.
Which vessel do you have to use?
By now, all STFC players know that the ship that you use and the crew has a great effect on the outcome of the battle.
However, this is not the case with the Gorn Hunters as it is only the crew you use that have an influence on the battle.
Players can therefore use any vessel to defeat the Gorn, but we recommend that you do not use an Explorer-type vessel.
This is because the Gorn’s ability increases the amount of damage it does by a certain%age when they are fighting Explorers.
You are therefore able to use any ship, however, we advise Commanders to use the strongest vessel in their fleet.
