STFC: Gorn Hunters Location

Scopely released the Gorn Hunters to STFC in April 2024, however, since then, Commanders have questioned where they may be located.

In April 2024, Scopely released update 65 and it introduced new content to Star Trek Fleet Command. Players are now able to construct the War Room, recruit new officers, complete new missions and face a new enemy named the Gorn Hunters.

In “Strange New Worlds”, we discover that the crew of the USS Enterprise has found itself face-to-face with the Gorn Hunters on more than one account.

It has been proven that they are not merely adversaries to overcome, but they also provide a glimpse into the complexities of interspecies relations.

Since the Gorn Hunters have been added to STFC, several Commanders have questioned where the new enemies are located. It is worth noting that the level of the Gorn Hunter determines the system in which they spawn.

This means that you have to decide the of the level enemy that you want to defeat and travel to a specific system to find them.

According to the update, the Gorn Hunters can be found in the following systems:

Level range Systems
40-50
  • Pentasto
  • Heloderma
  • Daboia
  • Dendroa
51-60
  • Malaco
  • Varanus
  • Temminck
  • Cirriped
60-70
  • Trias
  • Juras
  • Cretac
  • Ophio
  • Pteros
  • Rioha

Once you have decided which level Gorn Hunter you want to defeat, you can travel to one of the mentioned systems. Keep in mind that it is impossible to determine where in the system the hostile will spawn.

Commanders therefore have to explore the system until they find the hostile they are looking for.

STFC: Gorn Systems

Recommended crew

Before you attack the Gorn Hunters, select the ship that you want to use as well as the officers that you want to assign to the vessel.

Players should remember that the Gorn Hunters are constructed of a strange material which is immune to conventional weapon fire.

That being said, the enemies are vulnerable to Isolytic weaponry, which means that you have to use a crew that specializes in Isolytic Damage to vanquish the Gorn Hunters.

Unfortunately, there are only a few officers who can deal Isolytic Damage or increase the amount of Isolytic Damage you deal.

Commanders should therefore use Enterprise-E Data, Kathryn Janeway and SNW Nurse Chapel.

Unfortunately, the new officer, Nurse Chapel, can only be procured if you are willing to spend real money in STFC.

Best Crew for Gorn

Which ship should you use?

Players should note that the ship they use against the Gorn Hunters will not have a huge impact during the battle.

However, before you choose a ship, you have to consider the enemy’s ability. All Gorn Hunters will deal 50 percent additional damage to any Explorer vessel.

We therefore recommend that you do not use an Explorer to destroy the Gorn Hunters. If you have built the Monaveen, you can assign the above-mentioned officers to the vessel to defeat the opponents.

However, if you are yet to add the Monaveen to your fleet, you should use the strongest ship, which is not an Explorer.

Volatile Isomatter

When you defeat a Gorn Hunter, you will earn Volatile Isomatter, which can be exchanged for rewards in your Isolytic Refinery.

Players can use their Volatile Isomatter to collect Officer Shards, Artifact Pieces and Grade Upgrade Materials.

Since there are numerous rewards available, it can be difficult to choose which item you want. It is advisable that you select the item you need to advance even further in the game.

If you are yet to add a powerful officer to your fleet, you can obtain the Officer Shards, but if you need to upgrade a ship to increase its power, you can obtain the Grade Upgrade Materials.
