According to Wowhead’s recent data mining, it is believed that the AoTC Wolf Mount will be returning to World of Warcraft.
There are various modes of transportation in World of Warcraft (WoW), from fast traveling to climbing on a mount to explore the world.
It was recently revealed that a new treasure trove of transmorg items, mounts and more have been discovered and that these items may be added to the WoW Trading Post in February 2024.
The items were data mined by the popular WoW-themed website, Wowhead. This means that the items may not be released for the February 2024 Trading Post and the cost of the items may also differ.
One of the items that may be released is the Siege of Orgrimmar AoTC mount, otherwise referred to as the Reins of the Kor’kron War Wolf.
The mount was previously only available to players who defeated Garrosh Hellscream in Siege of Orgrimmar and earned the Ahead of the Curve: Garrosh Hellscream (10 player) achievement.
However, the mount was removed when the Warlords of Draenor pre-patch was released, therefore, the achievement became a Feat of Strength.
However, Blizzard supposedly added the mount to the pool of mounts featured in the Trading Post.
Although it is yet to be confirmed, several sources have revealed that the AoTC Wolf Mount will cost 7899 Trader’s Tender.
In addition to the AoTC Wolf Mount, Wowhead also released a list of items which could possibly be available in the Trading Post.
Since the announcement was revealed, WoW players have shared their opinions about the AoTC Wolf Mount’s return on several social media platforms.
Possible Trading Post Items
In addition to the AoTC Wolf Mount, Wowhead believes that the following items have been added to the Trading Post:
Category | Items |
Mounts, Pets, Toys and other |
|
Weapon Transmorg |
|
Armor Transmog |
|
Pandamonium
Several players believe that the return of the AoTC Wolf Mount will be tied to the upcoming Timerunning Pandamonium event.
However, this event will only be released to WoW when update 10.2.7 is released, which is scheduled for later in 2024.
The event was teased in the WoW 2024 Roadmap, and it is scheduled to occur in spring. Wowhead believes that this event will include Timewalking Raids for Mist of Pandaria.
Timewalking Raids previously took place annually, however, it has been almost 4 years since WoW players received a new Raid, which suggests that Pandamonium might be a Timewalking Raid.
Trading Post
The Trading Post is an in-game shop which refreshes every month, however, it requires that players complete unique challenges to earn Trader’s Tender.
You can use this currency to purchase items from the shop. Keep in mind however that it is an account-wide currency, which means that all your characters share the same amount of Trader’s Tender.
It is important to note that Blizzard is yet to announce that the AoTC Wolf Mount will be added to the Trading Post. At the time of writing, Wowhead datamined the information, which means that it has not officially been released.
We recommend that you keep an eye on the official WoW website for any Trading Post updates and news.
Players’ opinions
As mentioned, the only way that players were able to acquire the AoTC Wolf Mount before it was removed was by defeating Garrosh on Heroic Difficulty.
However, Wowhead revealed that players may be able to acquire this mount from the Trading Post.
Since the information was released, gamers have shared their opinions about the mount on various social media platforms.
On the official WoW forums, a player named Peacemoon revealed that he has mixed feelings about the release of the mount as he worked hard to defeat Garrosh to earn the mount.
If the mount is released in the Trading’s Post, players have to complete a few easy challenges to earn enough Trader’s Tenders to purchase the mount.
Another player, known as Baharok, revealed that this is an excellent opportunity for players who missed out on items like the AoTC Wolf Mount, to collect it.
WoW player, Cheatcho, believes that the mount will not be available in the Trading’s Post, but instead, will be a reward for clearing the Pandamonium raid.
Since these are all theories, we recommend that you check the WoW website regularly for official information.
