WoW: Onyx Annulet Ring

WoW’s latest expansion, Dragonflight, recently received patch 10.0.7, which introduced several new activities and items to the game. One of the items that the patch added was the Onyx Annulet which can be procured by exploring the Forbidden Reach.

The ring features a series of customisable Primordial Stones, all of which can collectively go up to item level 424.

Players will visit the Zskera Vaults quite early into their trip to the Forbidden Reach, as long as they are following the quests.

Once you have completed the quests that give you access to daily and world quests on the Forbidden Reach, you have to look for the Helping Hand and Claw quest. Near the end of the quest, you will enter the Zskera Vaults for the first time.

Inside the Vault, you will find an Unusual Ring lying on the floor. If you pick up the ring, you will start the  The Forgotten Ring quest, which will reward you with the Onyx Annulet.

You will also unlock the facilities in Morqut Village that allow you to manipulate your Primordial Stones.

When you have your Onyx Annulet you will notice that it only has a Stamina stone slotted, but it has 3 empty sockets that will only accept Primordial Stones.

Keep in mind that the Primordial Stone farm is quite difficult, as the stones can only be obtained from specific events, vendors, and vaults.

Primordial Stones

All Stones are in an elemental family, for instance, Entropic Fel Stone and Raging Magma Stone are Fire stones. On the other hand, Obscure Pastel Stones and Harmonic Music Stones are Arcane Stones.

Most of the stones will come from Condensed Magic items, however, Condensed Arcane Magic will not let you directly pick one of the 4 Arcane Stones. Instead, it has a 25 percent chance of turning into one of the Arcane stones.

If you want to get Condensed Magic, we recommend that you participate in events in the Forbidden Reach. One type of event that you may enjoy is an Evolved Storm, which occurs every few hours in front of the Frost Stone Vaults.

By destroying 5 elite elementals in the area, you can receive various rewards, including Condensed Nature Magic, Condensed Earth Magic, Condensed Fire Magic, and Condensed Frost Magic.

Dormant Elemental Fragments

If you have stones that you do not need, you can take them to Morqut Village and break them into Dormant Elemental Fragments. These fragments can be used to acquire a Condensed Magic Stone, but you have to give Researcher Imareth 10 Fragments .

If you want non-elemental items, such as Condensed Arcane Magic or Condensed Shadow Magic, this may be your easiest option to acquire them.

How to upgrade Primordial Stones?

Your stones are item level 411, however, they can be upgraded twice to a max of item level 424.In order to upgrade your stones, you need Unstable Elementium and a new Jewelcrafting pattern.

Upgrading your gems not only increases their effects, but it also increases the item level of your Onyx annulet.

Unstable Elementium is made from 10 Dormant Primordial Fragments, 25 Silken Gemdust, and a by-product of Jewelcrafting’s normal activities.

The pattern for Unstable Elementium requires 50 points in Dragon Isles Jewelcrafting and drops from Amethyst, which is a summonable rare on the Forbidden Reach.

To summon the enemy, you need a Crystal Tuning Fork, which also requires 50 points in Jewelcrafting.
