Destiny 2: Fishing Tracker

Players can track the fish they catch in Destiny 2 by opening their triumph menu, which also lists the rewards that you can earn.

In this exhilarating first-person shooter game, Destiny 2, players can explore the vast open world of Sol. As a Guardian, you have to protect the planet from an intergalactic threat.

Season of the Deep was recently added to the game and it introduced various new activities, including fishing. However, players want to know how to keep track of their fishing.

How to unlock fishing

To gain access to the fishing activity, you have to make some progress in the new Season of the Deep campaign. After you rescue Sloane, you have to complete the Salvage and Deep Dive missions.

You will then be invited to visit Hawthorne at the tower, where you will learn about collecting fishing tackle and using your fishing rod.

In following this quest, you will visit each of the 3 fishing locations, then return to the H.E.L.M where you have to deposit your first batch of fish into the tank. Players have to return to Hawthorne to complete the quest.

Destiny 2: Fishing Tracker

There are currently 3 fishing locations in Destiny 2, namely on the Outskirts of the EDZ, the Cistern on Nessus and the Miasma on Savathun’s Throne World.

Players can catch numerous fish species, each with specific rarities. The rarer the fish is, the less likely it is that you will catch it.

Since there are so many fish species available, it is difficult to determine what fish you have caught. Fortunately, players can use their fishing tracker to know which fish they have caught and how many of each fish they have.

Your triumph page keeps track of the fish you have caught and how many of each species you have procured. Furthermore, there are several triumphs that you can complete to earn decorations, which can be placed in your aquarium.

At the time of writing this, there is no third-party modification that keeps track of the fish you have caught. Players can only use their triumph page to track how many fish of each species they have caught.

According to the triumphs, there are 10 Legendary, 14 Rare and 4 Uncommon types of fish. Players can earn rewards for catching a certain number of fish of a specific species.

How to fish

After completing Hawthorne’s quest, you will be rewarded with bait, which can be used to catch fish. You have to go to one of the fishing ponds where you need to press and hold your interact key to cast the line.

The bobber will bounce a few times, but you should not press the interact button until it is submerged in the water. There will be a brief moment where your line flashes when it sinks under the water.

If you press your interact button while the line is lit up, you will perform a perfect catch, which increases your chances of catching rare fish.
