Destiny 2’s third floor of the Deep Dive activity has finally been unlocked and players can complete Operation Fulgurite to explore the Abyss
Players can experience imaginative role-playing in this exhilarating video game – Destiny 2. The game’s latest season, Season of the Deep, introduced exciting activities and quests for players to complete.
One of the quests, Operation Fulgurite, requires that you explore the Abyss level of Deep Dive.
Destiny 2: Operation Fulgurite Abyss
To start Operation Fulgurite, you have to open your H.E.L.M Director and accept the quest. In the quest, you have to explore Abyss, which is the 3rd level of the Deep Dive activity.
Fortunately, you do not have to complete the first 2 levels again to get access to Abyss.
Once you enter the Abyss floor, you have to vanquish some enemies and find switches. The first switch is on the wall between the 2 doors. Players should jump down to find the button on the wall in between the doors.
The second switch is at the back of the artificial pillar. You can find the fake pillar by going down the red corridor, which is near the back of the room. The Egregore Resonator section requires that you fight off multiple waves of enemies.
When you have defeated all the enemies, you will notice that they dunk their Egregore coral in the pods scattered across the room. You must repeat this process 3 times to move on to the final fight.

Final fight
In the last phase of Operation Fulgurite, you have to destroy Kelgorath, who is a giant Taken Knight. This boss has 3 damage phases and in each phase, you have to destroy Taken Orbs.
Although it is tempting to only focus on the boss, we recommend that you also defeat the adds as soon as possible, as they provide bonuses to the boss.
Gamers should also bear in mind that they have to repeat the process of destroying Orbs several times before they can defeat Kelgorath entirely.
Which weapon should you use?
In order to reclaim the Coral from the Taken Knights, you have to defeat several enemies.
It is advisable that you use a weapon that deals Solar Damage because Taken Knights are vulnerable to solar damage, which means that you will defeat them quicker.
Destiny 2 players should ensure that they aim at the enemies’ heads to deal critical damage. If you take damage during a fight, you should hide behind an object to make sure you survive the fight.
What to do after claiming the Coral
When you have claimed the coral, complete another Deep Dive mission and then go through Sloane’s portal.
You will find Sloane waiting for you here, and she is having a conversation with Ahsa. You will then finally get a hint at what the Final Shape is.
After returning through the portal, Sloane will give you a glimpse into her past to conclude the mission.
