One of the Generals that you can procure in Evony is Justinian, who should be assigned to your Military Academy to activate his abilities.
You can assume the role of a lord or lady during medieval times in this adventurous video game, Evony: The King’s Return.
You have to train troops, destroy enemies, attack other players, harvest resources and construct buildings to progress in the game. To help you with these activities, you can recruit Generals, one of which is Justinian.
How to acquire Generals
There are several methods that Monarchs can use to expand their General collection:

| Great General Chest | You can open the Great General Chest to collect fragments for Generals. When you have enough fragments, you can unlock the General. |
| Relics | Players can collect General tokens by exploring Relics on the world map. |
| Wheel of Fortune | The Wheel of Fortune contains several rewards and if you spin it, you can win a General. |
| Tavern | The Tavern allows players to purchase Generals with gold. |
Evony: Justinian
Justinian, a Byzantine emperor, launched numerous expeditions and reclaimed many territories. Players can now recruit Justinian by opening their Tavern. It is noteworthy that Justinian is not always available for recruitment though.
The Generals available for recruitment refresh every few hours, however, you can refresh the available Generals for Gems.
When Justinian is available for recruitment, you need to purchase him for approximately 60 000 000 Gold, which is one of the currencies you can acquire for free by progressing in Evony.
Similarly to other Generals in the game, Justinian has a variety of statistics, each of which influences an aspect of your gameplay:

Every time you increase Justinian’s level, his statistics will increase. The amount by which they increase is equal to the growth amount mentioned in the table. Moreover, the growth rate can be increased by enhancing Justinian.
The enhancement process increases a General’s Star Level, but it costs Gold and Medals. Furthermore, Justinian must be a specific level before a Star Level increase can be done, as is shown below:

Justinian’s abilities
In addition to statistics, Justinian has abilities that can help you on the battlefield. The table below lists his abilities:

Players should note that Sage and Gothic War applies to the Military Academy Officer. This essentially means that the skills will only activate when Justinian is assigned to the Military Academy.
In addition to the above mentioned, he also has a special skill called Code of Justinian.
This skill increases research speed by 10 percent. However, it also increases ground troop and mounted troop’s defense and health points by 12 percent when Justinian is the Military Academy Officer.
Thus, you should assign Justinian to your Military Academy to receive the most benefits.
Military Academy
The Military Academy is one of the buildings that players can construct in Evony. Though you can only unlock the Military Academy once your keep reaches level 36.
After building the Military Academy, you can research Military Formations and Tactics in your city.
Players can assign Justinian to their Military Academy to activate the General’s abilities. To assign Justian to the building, click on the building and open the “Assign General” option.
You will then be able to select Justinian to assign him to the Military Academy.
Can you use Justinian on the battlefield?
Players can use Justinian to defeat enemies on the battlefield, though this is not recommended. When considering his abilities, he will benefit your gameplay the most when you assign him to your Military Academy.
There are other General options that you can use to slay enemies and other Evony players on the world map.
