Evony: Takenaka Shigeharu

Takenaka Shigeharu is a powerful General that players can recruit from Evony’s Tavern, however, he should only be used for Siege Machine and Ground Troop Defense.

In this adventurous video game, Evony: The King’s Return, gamers can build their own kingdom. As the lady or lord of a keep, you have to train troops, slay monsters, harvest resources, explore relics and participate in in-game events.

To help you with these tasks, you can recruit Generals, one of which is Takenaka Shigeharu.

How to procure Generals

There are numerous methods that can be used to expand their General collection:

Method	Description
Packages	Players can purchase packages with real money to unlock a powerful General.
Great General Chest	You can open the chest to receive General Fragments and when you have enough, you can unlock the General.
Relics	Monarchs can collect General tokens by exploring Relics.
Shop	Players can purchase a General Chest from the Battlefield building with the currency earner from BoG and BoC.
Tavern	You can recruit Generals  for gold.
Wheel	There is  a chance that you could obtain a new General if you spin the Wheel of Fortune.

Evony: Takenaka Shigeharu

There are more than 100 Generals that players can acquire, with more Generals being added to Evony on a regular basis. One of these Generals is Takenaka Shigeharu, who was a Japanese samurai during the Sengoku period.

Also known as Hanebei, he was considered a leading strategist of the period. Similarly to other Generals in Evony, Takenaka Shigeharu has numerous specialties, which are outlined below:

Additionally, Takenaka Shigeharu also has a special skill which is always active and requires no development.

Dragon Depth Strategist increases In-City Siege Machine Attack by 50 percent and In-City Ground Troop and Mounted Troop Defense by 45 percent.

However, you will only receive these bonuses when Takenaka Shigeharu is the Main City Defense General. Players should therefore ensure that they assign Takenaka Shigeharu to the Defense General to get these buffs.

To enhance Takenaka Shigeharu’s abilities, players can ascend him. Enhancing a General is the process of increasing their Star Level, which requires gold and medals to complete.

Furthermore, Takenaka Shigeharu has to be a certain level  to increase his Star Level.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Takenaka Shigeharu will receive various buffs when he is the Main City Defense General:

5	In-City Siege Machine attack is increased by 25 percent In-City Ground troop and Mounted Troop health points are increased by 45 percent

Is Takenaka Shigeharu a good General?

Takenaka Shigeharu is considered one of the best Siege Defense Generals in Evony. Without development, he is stacked from his Special Skill, Dragon Depth Strategist, which provides troops with various bonuses when in defense.

In addition to being a great Siege Machine General, he is also an excellent choice for Ground Troops due to the additional defense added by his Special Skill and his Specialties.

These specialties make the troops extremely durable when they are under his command and they can withstand a heavy assault from enemy troops.
