Genshin Impact is an action role-playing game that takes place in the fantasy world of Teyvat. It is home to seven distinct nations, each of which is tied to an element and is ruled by a god associated with it.
The story follows a twin, known as the Traveler, who has travelled across other worlds but has become separated from his twin sibling. The Traveler travels in search of his sibling, however, he soon becomes involved in the affairs of Teyvat’s nations and gods.
The game allows players to control one of four interchangeable characters in a party. Switching between characters can be done quickly during combat, allowing the player to use different combinations of skills and attacks. Each character also has unique skills and abilities.
The Genshin Impact 2.1 update did not only make the game better, but it added new content to the nation of Inazuma. Players are now able to play three new characters, explore the Watatsumi and Seirai Islands, and participate in the new fishing system.
The fishing system features multiple fish that players can collect. These fish can be used for cooking or to decorate a Serenitea. Players are also able to exchange them for some unique rewards at the Inazuma’s Fishing Association.
One of the unique rewards is a weapon called ‘The Catch.’ It is a powerful polearm recommended for characters such as Raiden Shogun. In order to collect the weapon, players need to catch specific fish: the Golden Koi and Rusty Koi,
To catch a Golden Koi, players need to use the fake fly bait. The bait can be created using Sakura Bloom and Horsetail. The formula is available to purchase from Nantuck of the Mondstadt Fishing Association.
Golden Koi usually spawns at any time of the game, in the following locations: Stormbearer Mountains, Luhua Pool, West of Wangshu Inn, and on the Eastern shore of Koseki Village.
Players need to catch 20 Golden Koi, 20 Rusty Koi and six Raimei Angelfish if they want to unlock ‘The Catch’ weapon.
