MCoC: Regicide

MCoC players can complete the Regicide Solo Event, which requires that you defeat a Champion who is featured in a Hail to the King Crystal.

Marvel Contest of Champions (MCoC) can complete a series of side quests to earn additional rewards and progress even more in the game. April 2024’s side quest, Vaults, requires that you progress through 2 different maps to earn rewards.

To enter the first map, which is known as the Maze, you have to complete solo objectives to earn Maze Keys.

If you complete different Threat Levels and Paths in the Maze, you will earn Vault Keys, which can be used to enter the Vault map.

However, several players have mentioned that they have completed both maps and are unsure about what to do next.

After completing the side quest, you can complete additional Solo Events to earn even more rewards. Keep in mind that you will only have access to the Solo Events available to your progression level.

This essentially means that as a Proven player, you will not have access to Thronebreaker Solo Events.

One of the Solo Events that players can complete is Regicide, which requires that you defeat a Champion who is featured in a Hail to the King Crystal.

Keep in mind that you need to use a Special Attack 3 as the last hit against the opponent, but fortunately, you can vanquish the opponent in any game mode. That being said, you cannot complete the Solo Event in the practice mode.

On the official MCoC Discord server, several Summoners have shared their strategies on how to complete the Solo Event.

One player mentioned that you have to find someone who is a top Brawler, such as Kingpin or Odin, and spam dual them.

A Summoner named Auraah mentioned that he used a 7-star Bishop with Synergies on 4.3.6 to complete the Solo Event. You may have to defeat the opponent several times to complete Regicide.

Which Champions should you defeat?

As previously mentioned, you have to defeat a Champion who is featured in a Hail to the King Crystal using a Special 3 as the final hit in any mode. Unfortunately, the event’s description did not reveal which Champions you can destroy.

Summoners can conquer any of the following Champions:

  • Black Bolt
  • Black Panther
  • Black Panther (Civil War)
  • Captain Britain
  • Hela
  • Loki
  • Karnak
  • Thor (Jane Foster)
  • Emma Frost
  • Ultron
  • Killmonger
  • King Groot
  • Kingpin
  • Meda
  • Mephisto
  • Mole Man
  • Knull
  • Namor
  • Odin
  • Shiri
  • Storm (Pyramid X)
  • Thor
  • Valkyrie
  • Hulk
  • The Overseer
  • Ojo
  • RedKull
  • Dormammu
  • O.D.O.K

Which Champions should you use?

Since there are more than 10 opponents that you can defeat to complete the Regicide Solo Event, it is nearly impossible to say which Champions you have to use.

This is because no Summoner has the same Champions in their Roster and players upgrade different characters at varying times.

Nevertheless, we recommend that you use the strongest Champions in your roster to defeat the above-mentioned Champions.

MCoC players can therefore use a 7-star Champion who is equipped with the correct gear to vanquish a character featured in a Hail to the King Crystal.

Hail to the King Crystal Fragments

For every fight that you win against a Champion, you will receive 100 points. You therefore have to win several fights to earn Hail to the King Crystal Fragments.

Once you have collected enough Crystal Fragments, you will be able to combine them into a Crystal.

Summoners can open the Hail to the King Crystals to add one of the featured Hail to the King Champions to their collection. Some of the Champions you can earn include:

  • Valkyrie
  • Ultron
  • Thor (Jane Foster)
  • Thor
  • Storm (Pyramid X)
  • Shuri
  • Red Skull
  • Overseer
  • Odin
  • Namor
  • Mole Man
  • Killmonger
  • King Groot
  • Karnak
  • Medusa
  • Loki
  • Dormammu
