Ultimate 32 is a Cosmic Crucible activity in MSF, however, you need to be level 60 to participate in this 5-day challenge.
In Marvel Strike Force (MSF) players have to procure supervillains and superheroes to defeat horrific foes, which are trying to take over the Marvel Universe.
In addition to following the main story quests, there are several gaming modes and in-game events that you can enjoy.
One of the activities that you can participate in is Cosmic Crucible, but some players have wondered what the best defense is for Ultimate 32.
Cosmic Crucible
Cosmic Crucible is a Swiss-Style Tournament, where you have to fight against another player in a trial. Tournaments are part of a season, each with a unique room with various rules and rewards.
Every Tournament consists of 3 trials and each trial is active for approximately 24 hours. During this time, you have to attack the 6 defenses of your opponent. Every enemy that you eliminate will be identified as Knocked Out (K.O).
You will win the trial if you destroy more rooms than your opponents. To track this progress, MSF uses a system called Victory Points.
It prioritizes Stage Clears first, the lowest quantity of Offensive Attempts second, and the number of Turn Bonus, Healthy Characters and K.Os last.
MSF: Cosmic Crucible Ultimate 32 defense
Version 7.1.0, which was released on Wednesday, 10 May 2023, introduces new events and features to MSF. According to the patch notes, players can now participate in the Cosmic Crucible Ultimate 32.
In this activity, players can test their Cosmic Crucible skills in a 32-Commander tournament. This tournament is meant to decipher the true heavyweights of the Living Tribunal’s scales.
Unlike the normal Cosmic Crucible, Ultimate 32 will be active for 5 days, instead of the usual 3 days.
Since it is a much larger Cosmic Crucible event, players are curious about what the best defense team is for the event. According to YouTuber, DuArktik, players should not use a universal team throughout the week, as this team is subject to change.
That being said, every room requires a different defense team, as there are unique rules for every room in Ultimate 32. The recommended characters for each room are:
Room | Team | Team members |
1 | Infinity Watch |
|
2 | Unlimited X-Men |
|
3 | Young Avengers |
|
4 | Invaders |
|
5 | Darkhold or Gamma |
|
6 | Eternals |
|
For room 6, you can use the Eternal team, but you will have to add characters to complete the team. Players can use Apocalypse, Omega Red, Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Man Noir and Spider-Weaver.
Rules
The unique sets of rules for every room in Ultimate 32 are listed below:
Room | Rules |

Season 3 of Cosmic Crucible
Once Ultimate 32 concludes, players can participate in the third season of Cosmic Crucible. Though there are some global rules that you need to remember for this season. On defense:
- All characters will gain 20 percent maximum health and 10 percent additional damage
- Cosmic, Villain and Mystic characters’ speed and resistance will be reduced by 20 percent
- In turn, Bleed will be applied to that character
- Darkhold and Gamma characters’ maximum health points, focus, resistance and damage will be reduced by 10 percent
Requirements
To participate in Cosmic Crucible, players must be at least level 60. It is unclear whether the same requirements apply to Ultimate 32, but since it is a Cosmic Crucible activity, the requirements will likely remain the same.
This means that only players level 60 and higher can participate in Ultimate 32. If you are yet to reach level 60, you should not rush to gain levels to join the activity.
Instead, it is advisable that you progress in MSF at a steady pace. The chances that Ultimate 32 will return to MSF in the future are high, then you can join the activity.
