PSO2 NGS: Gunblaze series
Sega recently added new features to PSO2: NGS, including a new region, new quests, enemies, 8-star weapon series, and minerals. There are 4 new 8-star weapon series, each of which has unique statistics and effects.
One of the weapons that you can acquire is the Gunblaze series, which is considered one of the best weapons in the game. The Gunblaze weapon series has the Flawless unit potential, and it features amazing statistics, which are listed in the following table:
Level | Statistics |
1 |
|
2 |
|
3 |
|
4 |

Gamers should note that the critical hit damage bonus disables when you take damage. This effect has a 15-second cooldown and will only start 15 seconds after being equipped. This means that you cannot take any damage from enemies, as the weapon will lose its buffs.
Should you acquire a Gunblaze weapon?
If you are a casual PSO2: NGS player, you should rather use a Kouklophis weapon or a seasonal weapon. However, if you are a serious gamer that seeks perfection, a Gunblaze weapon is ideal for you because the weapons have many requirements in order to be efficient.
Once you get the hang of the weapon, you can deal huge amounts of damage to enemies. However, this means you have to maintain the Flawless Unit passive by not taking any damage, which includes burn and Elemental damage.
How to procure a Gunblaze weapon
If you are interested in collecting a Gunblaze weapon, you should note that it is a rare drop from Recon Gigants. However, you can also get it by completing the purple Battledia missions.
Recon Gigants are a series of Gigantix Enemies that appear in the exploration sector of the Stia region. These enemies are composed of a group of normal enemies, however, they have Gigantix enemy modifiers.
If you defeating the Recon Gigants in a sector, it will spawn a specific Gigantix Boss when the conditions are met.
Battledia: Purple
Battledia quests are extremely unique, as they can only be accessed through a Trigger Portal. Five Battle Triggers, which can be acquired from enemy drops and tasks, are required to access the Trigger Portal Quests.
There are currently 2 types of Battledia quests, namely Battledia: Yellow and Battledia: Purple. To access the Battledia: Purple quests, you have to get 5 B-trigger/ Common Purple materials.
A Battledia: Purple quest is quite difficult to complete because it continuously spawns Gigantix enemies. But in exchange for its difficulty, it provides the possibility of getting high-rarity equipment and weapons upon completion.
It is noteworthy that you are not guaranteed a Gunblaze weapon when you complete a Battledia: Purple quest. This means that you may have to complete the quest several times before you earn a weapon.
