STFC: Harvest Anomaly Samples

To ensure that you harvest as many Anomaly Samples as possible in STFC, you have to use a specific crew combination.

As you progress in Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC), you will procure different items, each with a specific purpose in the game. In addition to items, you can construct numerous vessels, such as the USS Voyager.

This legendary ship’s blueprints can only be farmed by Commanders level 30 and higher. You have to vanquish Hirogen enemies in the Delta Quadrant.

Once you have collected enough blueprints and you are level 34 or higher, you can construct the vessel.

After building the vessel, you can upgrade it to enhance its capabilities. To upgrade the ship, you need to refine Exotic Biotoxins and Anomaly Samples.

Commanders should note that they can only harvest Anomaly Samples in specific systems.

Even though you can use any vessel to harvest Anomaly Samples, we recommend that you use the Voyager. This means that only players who have constructed the vessel should harvest the new resource.

On the official STFC Discord channel, one Commander mentioned that you can harvest Anomaly Samples in the Transwarp Systems, which are next to the Hirogen Hunter Systems.

You should therefore travel to the following systems if you are interested in harvesting Anomaly Samples:

  • FSEP-001
  • FSEP-247
  • FSEP-3819
  • FSEP-505

Each of these systems requires a specific warp range. Even if you have constructed the Voyager and your warp range is too low, you will not be able to travel to the systems.

Crew recommendations

Although you can use any crew to harvest Anomaly Samples, some crew combinations will mine more resources than others. The crew we recommend that you use is:

Name Abilities
2 of 11
  • Storage Optimization: Increases the cargo size of the vessel by 20%
  • Extraction Protocol: Increases the rate of Crystal, Gas and Ore mining by 50%
4 of 11
  • Efficient Ore Acquisition: Increases ore mining speed by 60%
  • Cargo Optimization Algorithms: Increases cargo size by 40%
SNW La’an
  • Warp Overdrive: Increase base Warp Speed by 50%
  • Secure Logistics: Increases the ship’s base Max Cargo by 25%
Tuvok
  • Artifact Analysis: Increases the number of Artifact Tokens gains from Formation Armadas by 80%
  • Logical Logistics: Increases the ship’s cargo capacity by 100% of base if the ship is the USS Voyager

Voyager Research

The Voyager research nodes will further enhance not only the ship itself, but it will also provide fleetwide buffs. It is worth noting that these nodes will increase the anomaly-mining rate and Voyager’s Warp Range.

Players can research the Artifact Hunting Extraordinaire to add a bonus roll of Artifact rewards in the common and rare Anomaly Sample refinery.

Furthermore, the Below Deck Assembly node unlocks Below Decks slots in officer presets while the Dismantle Tinkering increases base scrapping speed for all ships.

It is clear that these nodes are an invaluable addition to your buffs, but you should keep in mind that unlocking the research nodes may require specific materials, resources and currency.

Voyager Loop

Once you have constructed the Voyager, you have to destroy Hirogen enemies to get Hirogen Relics, which can be exchanged for Deuterium Canisters. Players can then use the vessel’s active ability to scan for hidden 8472 hostiles.

Players can destroy the hostiles to earn Exotic Biotoxins, which can be exchanged for Voyager Travel Tokens and Commerce Insignia.

You can use your Travel Tokens to travel to Voyager Space, in which you can harvest Anomaly Samples.

Once you have collected enough Anomaly Samples, you can exchange them for Artifact Shards, Ship Parts and research dust.

Commanders have to repeat this process until they have unlocked enough Artifact Shards, Ship Parts and research dust.

Anomaly Samples bugs

On the official STFC Discord server, several players mentioned that they have encountered some bugs while harvesting Anomaly Samples.

Some Commanders mentioned that they cannot find any Rare Anomaly Samples in any of the Voyager systems.

The players restarted the game, but the issue persisted. Another Commander mentioned that they have found that their Voyager still occupies empty Anomaly Sample nodes.

If you are experiencing any bugs related to Anomaly Samples, we recommend that you restart your game. If the problem still persists, you can open a ticket to make Scopely aware of the issue.
