STFC players can defeat Species 8472 to obtain Delta Quadrant Borg Coordinates, which can be used to travel to unique systems.
In Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC) you will encounter different types of enemies, but keep in mind that some enemies can only be defeated by a specific vessel.
One of the vessels that you can add to your fleet is the USS Voyager and it is considered one of the most technologically advanced ships in the Federation fleet.
Similar to other vessels, the Voyager has numerous abilities that you can use to your advantage.
One of its abilities, Advanced Sensors, can be used to uncover hidden hostiles in the Delta Quadrant. Players can therefore uncover the elusive Species 8472 by using the vessel’s ability.
Players can vanquish Species 8472 from the galaxy to earn rich rewards, one of which is Delta Quadrant Borg Coordinates.
On the official STFC Discord server, several gamers have questioned what this unique item can be used for as its description does not reveal its objective.
You can use your Delta Quadrant Borg Coordinates to travel to specific Borg systems. Once you are in the system, you can use your Voyager to spawn Borg Cubes, which will drop faction messages upon defeat.
It is worth noting that you have to acquire a specific number of Delta Quadrant Borg Coordinates to travel to the system. For instance, to travel to the level 45 system, Misalup, you have to procure 100 Delta Quadrant Borg Coordinates.
Where to find Species 8472
In order to earn Delta Quadrant Borg Coordinates, you have to defeat Species 8472. The table below lists the systems in which you can find the enemies:
Level | System |
30 |
|
35 |
|
40 |
|
45 |
|
50 |
|
55 |
|
It is worth noting that all of the above-mentioned systems require a specific warp range. If your warp range is too low, you will not be able to travel to the listed systems.
That being said, you may be able to travel to a lower level system, as it will have a lower warp requirement.
How to construct the USS Voyager
Commanders should note that they have to construct the USS Voyager to uncover the elusive 8472 Species.
Similar to other vessels, you have to procure blueprints for the Voyager and only once you have enough blueprints will you be able to construct it.
To collect blueprints for this vessel, you have to reach level 30 and defeat Hirogen hostiles in the Delta Quadrant. These hostels will drop Hirogen Relics upon defeat and players can refine the Relics in the refinery.
Once you have reached level 34 and have gathered all the necessary blueprints, you can construct the Voyager.
You need 100 USS Voyager blueprints to build the ship and every blueprint costs approximately 500 Hirogen Relics. This means that you need to acquire 50 000 Hirogen Relics to add the Voyager to your fleet.
Upgrading your USS Voyager
Once you have constructed the USS Voyager, you have to upgrade it to enhance its capabilities. To upgrade the vessel, you have to refine Exotic Biotoxins and Anomaly Samples.
To obtain Exotic Biotoxins, you have to destroy Species 8472 Bioships in the Velixys system.
Commanders should keep in mind that these enemies are elusive and can only be discovered while using Advanced Sensors.
Anomaly samples, on the other hand, can be mined from an array of systems, including FSEP-505, FSEP-3819, FSEP-247, FSEP-001.
You can also unlock varying Voyager research nodes to further enhance not only the ship, but it will also provide fleetwide buffs.
The Below Deck Assembly unlocks Below Deck slots in officer presets, whereas Dismantle Tinkering increases base scrapping speed for all ships.
Voyager abilities
It is crucial that you know how the Voyager’s abilities function before attempting to vanquish Species 8472 and obtain Delta Quadrant Borg Coordinates. The table below lists the vessel’s abilities:
Name | Description |
Astrometrics Scan | This ability scans a player’s ship and reveals the location of their station. |
Advanced Sensors | It allows you to uncover hidden hostiles in the Delta Quadrant |
Commanders should note that both of these abilities cost Deuterium Canisters, which can be found after refining Hirogen Relics in the Voyager Refinery.
Its abilities are only active for a specific duration, and it features a cooldown, which must be depleted before you can use the ability again.
