Although you can use any crew to conquer STFC’s Texas-class hostiles, we recommend that you use Captain Janeway, Tom Paris and Doctor.
You can encounter iconic Star Trek characters, vessels, storylines and locations in this adventurous video game, Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC).
A recent STFC update introduced a new enemy species called Texas-class that you can vanquish. Although you can use any crew to defeat them, some crews do better than others.
Texas-class hostiles
Texas-class hostiles were introduced with the Lower Decks II Part 1 update, which was released on Tuesday, 5 September 2023.
Although it is not necessary, Commanders can build the new ship, Monaveen, to travel to the new Texas-class systems, where they will encounter varying levels of Texas-class foes.
You will receive various rewards if you destroy these enemies, some of which can be exchanged in the Monaveen’s refinery for Shipyard Directives, Monaveen-related items or Queen’s Favors. Players can find Texas-class hostiles with different levels.
The higher the enemy’s level is, the better its statistics, which means that it is more difficult to destroy.
STFC: Texas-class crew
In order to enhance any ship in STFC’s abilities, you have to assign the correct crew to the ship. It is therefore crucial that you know and understand your officers’ abilities to ensure that you assign them to the correct ship.
Furthermore, you have to consider the type of hostile you want to vanquish before assigning crew members to a ship.
Since the Texas-class enemies were recently released, some STFC players are unsure about which officers they should assign to their ship to conquer the new foes.
Commanders should note that the crew they should use is determined by on ship they are using to vanquish Texas-class enemies.
If you are using any of the G3 ships, your crew will differ from the crew that you use for another ship.
According to HarmoniousDeath, a moderator on the official STFC Discord server, players can use Captain Janeway, Torres and Kirk when fighting a Texas-class hostile with an Enterprise.
He also mentioned that players can use Captain Janeway, Tom Paris and Doctor. If you are using this crew, you should assign B’Elanna Torres and Hugh to below deck.
HarmoniousDeath used this team combination against a Texas-class Sentry with the Vor’cha vessel and won the battle.
Gamers should also note that their officers’ levels and their ships’ levels plays a role in the battle.
This means that even if you use the exact crew combinations assigned to the correct ship, you could still lose the battle if your level is not high enough.

Officer abilities
Commanders should remember that every officer in STFC has unique abilities which can influence your gameplay. The following table lists the abilities of each of the mentioned officers:
Officer | Abilities |
Captain Janeway |

Torres |

Attacking a Texas-class hostile
After selecting your crew and assigning them to your ship, you can travel to the Texas-class systems to fight a Texas-class hostile.
You should note that attacking a Texas-class hostile directly will force you to lower your peace shield.
However, revenge hostiles will spawn when you are in the systems, and you can have 1 of them target the Texas-class hostile.
Although this method drag the battle, you will not have to lower your peace shield and you will still earn rewards.
Texas-class systems
STFC players should note that Texas-class hostiles are only in specific systems. However, it is impossible to pinpoint their exact location.
We therefore recommend that you travel to the following systems and explore them until you find an enemy:
