Evony: Godfrey of Bouillon

Evony players have a chance of earning the new Epic Historic General, Godfrey of Bouillon by purchasing the 5th tier Easter Sale Package.

To progress in Evony: The King’s Return, you have to collect and upgrade a variety of Generals. Generals are able to lead your army to an attack, be assigned to buildings to perform their duties and be equipped with a Dragon or Spiritual Beast to gain additional bonuses.

One of the Generals you are able to collect is Godfrey of Bouillon and he is known for his noble character, exceptional military prowess and unwavering commitment to his beliefs.

Like other Generals in Evony, Godfrey of Bouillon has several abilities that can have a great influence on your gameplay.

His abilities as well as a description of each is as follows:

  • Ranged Troop Defense increased by 10%
  • Ranged Troop Attack increased by 10%
Advocate of the Holy Sepulchre
  • Ranged Troop Defense increased by 10%
  • Ranged Troop Attack increased by 30%
  • Ranged Troop HP increased by 10%

Godfrey also has a special skill known as King of Jerusalem, which increases Ranged Troops’ Attack and HP by 40%.

However, when Godfrey is leading the army to an attack, this skill increases Ranged Troops and Siege Machines’ Defense by 10%.

Star level bonuses

Once Godfrey reaches level 5, you are able to complete the enhancement process to increase his star level. With every star level you unlock, you will gain additional bonuses, which are listed below:

How to increase Godfrey’s star level

In order to unlock the above-mentioned bonuses, you have to increase Godfrey’s star level by completing the enhancement process. Players should note that this process requires a significant amount of gold and medals.

To enhance Godfrey, you have to open his portrait in your General menu. On the bottom of the menu, you will notice 4 green tabs, one of which is Enhance.

In the Enhance menu, you will notice how his attributes increase, and you will also see how many Gold and Medals are required to complete the process. You will only be able to enhance Godfrey if you have the necessary materials to do so.

How to acquire Godfrey

To celebrate Easter, Evony is hosting an Easter Sale, which has a one-time offer every day. You can therefore purchase a pack every day while the event is active.

Keep in mind that there are 5 package tiers available. If you purchase the 5th package, you have a chance of earning the new Epic Historic General, Godfrey of Bouillon.

This unfortunately means that players have to use real life money if they are interested in adding Godfrey to their collection.

It is unknown whether or not Godfrey will become available for free in the near future, however there is also the possibility that Godfrey will be removed from Evony once the Easter Sale event concludes.

We therefore recommend that you purchase the packages as soon as possible if you want to obtain Godfrey. Keep in mind though that you do not need Godfrey to progress in Evony.
