MCoC: Raids Explained

Raids in MCoC is an Alliance-exclusive activity that invites gamers to defeat bosses with unique mechanics to earn rewards

In December 2023, Marvel Contest of Champions announced that January 2024 is your first opportunity to experience Raids with your Alliance.

Before joining a Raid, we recommend that your Alliance put together a structure to specify which players will take on the roles for each path.

A Raid generally consists of 3 paths, each with different bosses that have to be defeated in order to reach the final boss.

It is crucial that every path has a Tactician, Vanguard and Assault Summoner in the group, however, you also need a General player. This essentially means that a Raid group consists of 10 Summoners.

Once the Alliance has selected their Raid Group, the Summoners have to select the Champions that they want to use to destroy the bosses. In your Champion list, you can deselect the roles you do not need.

For example, if you are the Tactician in your Raid Group, you have to deselect the Vanguard and Assault options. If you do this, your Champion List will only show you the characters that can be used in your role.

It may be difficult to decide which Champion you want to use, therefore, we recommend that you experiment with different characters to see who will perform the best in the Raid.

If you are uncertain about the Champion that you want to use, you can always send a message to your Alliance leader or Raid leader for a second opinion.

Once you have selected your characters and the entire group is ready, you can enter the Raid, which requires Raid Tickets.

Raid Tickets can be purchased on the Team Select Screen using a range of currencies, including Glory, Loyalty, Incursion Artifacts and Units.

Alliance Raids

Once you have selected your Champions, you have to complete in-fight objectives to gain Raid Fervor. For every mission that you complete, you will gain Role Force and Role Charges, which will help you vanquish the final boss.

Keep in mind that you have to coordinate the attacks with your teammates so that you can build Role Charges for one another to deal the most damage.

When you have defeated all the mini-bosses, the Raid Group will have to vanquish the final boss to earn rich rewards.

Raids Thanos

Every boss has different missions that you have to complete and if you complete the mission, you will receive Role Charges. Your Raid Group members can use the Role Charges to increase their damage when they enter a fight.

One of the bosses that you may have to defeat is Thanos and he will call out a random game action of Intercept the Opponent, Block a Hit or Dodge a Hit.

After the called-out action is performed, you will get Raid Fervor. Once you have 50 Raid Fervor, you will complete the mission and gain a Role Charge.

Before the fight begins, you will have the opportunity to select a boost. We recommend that that you consider your Raid Role and your Champion’s abilities before choosing a boost.

AQ Raids

AQ is a term widely used in MCoC which stands for Alliance Quests, which essentially indicates that the Raids are Alliance Quests. Alliance Quests are cooperative Quests for your Alliance.

This feature represents the strength of your Alliance and determines the power of the Opponents that you will face on each Map.

However, you can select the difficulty by selecting an Alliance Quest Map and the number of possible participants.

Battlegroups generally contain 10 Alliance Members, but keep in mind that you cannot change your group once you have selected the members.

While completing the quest, you should remember that the enemies scale to your Alliance’s power, but the higher their Power Levels are, the more points they will yield.

You have to earn as many points as possible during an AQ to earn rich rewards.
