STFC: Gorn Crew

To successfully defeat the Gorn in STFC, you need to use a crew and a ship that is able to deal Isolytic damage.

Star Trek Fleet Command’s developer, Scopely, regularly releases updates to introduce new opponents, officers, missions and Artifacts to the game.

Update 65 introduced the Gorn hostiles, who are composed of a strange material that makes them immune to conventional weapons.

You therefore cannot vanquish these enemies from the galaxy with the general crew combinations. Commanders have to use a ship, or a crew, that is able to deal Isolytic Damage.

According to the announcement, the best crew for defeating the Gorn is:

Officer name Abilities
Enterprise-E Data Officer ability: Increases Isolytic Cascade damage by 10% versus non-Armada hostiles.
Enterprise-E Picard Officer ability: Increases Isolytic Cascade Damage by 3% for 3 rounds every time you hit a non-Armada enemy.
Kathryn Janeway Officer ability: At the start of combat, she increases your Isolytic Cascade damage by against non-player hostiles and Armadas 10%.

On the official STFC Discord server, a Commander named [FOLD] ArsenicTouch mentioned that you can assign Torres, Neelix and Kim below deck. However, this combination depends on the ship that you use to trigger the Artifact.

Which vessel should you use?

All STFC Commanders know that you have to use a specific crew combination that is assigned to a specific ship to destroy hostiles.

However, this is not the case for the Gorn Hunters, as the ship you use to defeat them is not as important than your crew.

We therefore recommend that you assign the above-mentioned crew combination to your strongest ship to defeat the enemies. However, the Gorn Hunters deal 50% additional damage for 5 rounds if you use an Explorer.

Gorn location

Once you have assigned your crew to your shop, you will have to travel to specific systems to find the Gorn opponents.

Isolytic Loop

The Gorn Hunters are part of the Isolytic Damage, which means that if you defeat them, you will earn a Volatile Isomatter.

You can exchange this resource for impressive rewards in the Isolytic Refinery, including officer shards, Artifact pieces and Grade Upgrade Materials.

Keep in mind that you may have to defeat several Gorn Hunters before you have enough Volatile Isomatter to obtain these items though.
